July 2012 Glymm Bag

Can you believe I almost forgot to blog about this month’s Glymm Bag? Is it that the novelty of samples is wearing off? Or maybe it has just been awhile since I’ve been wowed by Glymm…I feel so sad saying that because when I look back at my first posts about Glymm, I was always so excited to open them up, eat those yummy jellybeans and devour the product card. Now, it’s just not like that anymore…anyway, for this month there are some interesting products for sure. Shall we see what they might be?

I actually do like the colour of this month’s Glymm Bag, it’s the Pantone colour of the year right?

Cyberderm H2O Hydration and PM Anti-Age

This moisturizer will show your skin a good time. With more benefits than you can count, you can be sure to see some drastic results.

Take a bold stance against physiological aggressors that age us with this powerful cream.

Thoughts: I’ll give this sample a thumbs up for innovative and interesting sample packaging! From Glymm’s info card, it looks like if you buy the full size product it comes in a pump bottle as opposed to a syringe. It was a little confusing to see that on the box, Cyberderm called themselves “the sunscreen company” making me think that we were getting samples of sunscreen…then it says “oral use only” on the label…what??

Full size: H2O Hydration – 50mL/$60.00 and PM Anti-Age – 50mL/$115.00

I received: H2O Hydration – 5mL/$6.00 and PM Anti-Age – 5mL/$11.50. 5 uses each.

Joico K-Pak Revitaluxe

This luxury hair treatment is clinically proven to instantly correct damage and protect against future damage.

Thoughts: This is a really good sample size, more like travel-sized and promises stronger, softer and more moisturized hair. I use hair masks about once a week so I’m excited to try this out. The only thing I don’t like about this product is the smell…it’s quite strong…

Full size: 150mL/$25.00

I received: 50mL/$8.33. 3 uses.

Dirt Salt Scrub

Dirt never sounded so delicious. This delectable body treatment will exfoliate and reveal a glow that you never knew you had.

Thoughts: This smells really good! This scrub is scented with fresh cucumber, sun-warmed fig and pear. I adore scrubs and I use them on my face almost daily so I can’t wait to try this out!

Full size: 12oz/$45.00

I received: 0.05oz/$0.19. 2 uses.

Mane Teeze Social Butterfly Hair Perfume

DSCF4248

Summer is a busy time for pretty socialites like you, so bring this hair perfume along with you when you need that little boost of luxury.

Thoughts: This sample is vanilla-scented and quite strong in scent! I really don’t know how often I will use this seeing as how the smell reminds me of going clubbing as a 20-year-old. If you go the Mane Teeze website, you’ll know what I mean! It looks like us Glymmers will be getting a taste of Mane Teeze’s other hair perfume scents over the next two months so hopefully the other scents will appeal more to me.

Full size: 50mL/$34.00

I received: 8mL/$5.44. 50 sprays.

Total Value of Glymm Bag: approximately $31.46

Some interesting things in this month’s Glymm Bag, but nothing I was incredibly excited to use. I was a little bummed that I couldn’t use the nail polish coupon with my loyalty points…I guess that would be too good to be true right?

    1. Mane Teeze would have been perfect for getting the smoke smell out of your hair! You need to sniff some Dirt! It's quite good, but the full size is sort of expensive!

  3. The syringes are actually 5 ml, if you peel back the labels they stuck on the syringes you can see the ml markers.

  4. My syringes were a little empty so I only got around 4mL. I was disappointed about the nail polish promo too!

    1. The nail polish is expensive enough, so loyalty points would have been nice to use.

  5. You got the dirt scrub too! I've used it and it's really nice - thinking about spending my glymm points on the full size (it's expensive otherwise and I have to use those points on something).

  7. The syringe packaging seems quite ... clinical :p I guess it gives off a more scientific vibe. The lip scrub sounds like it has some lovely ingredients.

    1. LOL, yes because it "looks" scientific, is MUST be effective right? Like dressing up the average Joe in a lab coat!
