Day 18–Half Moon Umbrellas

Vancouver is notorious in Canada for getting A  LOT of rain. It often doesn’t get cold enough for snow, which means that in the colder seasons, it’s just freezing rain so I thought turning my half moons into umbrellas was a great tribute to the rainy city of Vancouver! I started off with two coats of Barielle – U-Concrete-Me and then used red and blue stripers to make the half moons. I finished with black and blue acrylic paint for the umbrellas and rain. My thumb is supposed to be rain on a window pane since the thumb doesn’t have the same cuticle curve as the other fingers.

As a side note, I have been using the Elmer’s glue method for every manicure which has saved my hands and nails from copious amounts of acetone! I can’t believe we are only discovering this method now!

    1. I can't wait to see it! Although, the weather has been fantastic the past month so the nails weren't quite representative of the weather now.

    1. Use Elmer's glue as your base coat and you can peel your manicures off without damaging your nails! It's brilliant for glitter!
