It’s Time for Sample Sundays!

I am procrastinating making an insurance claim for my car until Monday morning  by sharing with you a routine that I have been doing since May of this year. Every other Sunday, I take the time to go through my samples and pick out a few that I want to try out for the next two weeks. It’s actually such a fun process because it feels so much like shopping! Seeing all of those lovely beauty samples together gets me so giddy! This little ritual is also how I produce a lot of my empties. It’s almost like Project 10 Pan, but for samples and with a higher product turnover which makes it MUCH more interesting. So, what’s on the Sample Sunday menu today?

  1. Great way to use up your samples, Jayne! I do this too but much more irregularly... since they're so small though it sure does feel great to use them up and see the piles of empties :D

  2. It is a good way to make an effort to use up samples. Often I forget what I have in my stash.

    1. Exactly, sometimes I rediscover samples that have been hidden by the newer ones. It's like acquiring new product, but not!

  3. That's a great idea ! I too sometimes enjoy to look at all my samples and pick some to try. The way you do it is much more consistent though if you want to get a good idea of the products efficiency.

    1. With all the beauty sample boxes I subscribe to, I needed to find a way to go through the samples and try some new products!

    1. That's exactly why I started allocating an actual day to go through my stuff because we all have so much product! It's totally fun too, I love filling up my little "sample bucket" filled with new things to try for the next two weeks!

  6. Good luck working your way through your samples! I've been trying to work my way through some samples too. I need to work on eye shadow and blush samples, but those take forever, even being samples. Time to dig through them and pick some out to at least try and use in the near future.

    1. I love the Biore strips, but I never use them enough. It's fun to see what comes out of your pores though! It's gross, but fun at the same time! I love samples too, I probably have way too many at this point, but I cannot get enough of them!

  9. Fun! I should try this too -- I tend to leave samples lying around and use them at random, but it would be better to have a plan!

    1. It was just getting to the point that I was so overwhelmed with samples so I needed to devise a system to at least try what I was receiving!

  12. I have so many samples! Over a year's worth of sample boxes can really accumulate haha. I should definitely do something similar! I find that as soon as it comes out of a box and into my sample stash, it gets lost! Look forward to reading your thoughts in an empties post x

    1. I know, I was doing the same thing, just putting it away into a box to be forgotten. This way I get empties and I constantly get to try new things!
