Winter 2012 Loose Button Luxe Box

Aren’t Luxe Boxes are so much more exciting now that they make us wait for them! It’s true that patience truly does make the heart grow fonder! I liked my Fall Luxe Box, but when I saw what other girls had gotten I was less excited. For this season, I had no expectations and was pleasantly surprised. I loved everything I received as well as the slightly revised packaging with all the products being contained in a silky sachet with the Loose Button logo printed on the corner.

2012

Tatcha Original Aburatorigami

DSCF4261

All-natural leaflets which absorb excess oil without disturbing makeup for petal fresh skin anytime, anywhere.

Thoughts: I have been DYING to try these and when I tried to order them from the Tatcha website, the international shipping was more than double the price so I gave up. I never dreamed I would get these in a beauty box!

Full size: 30 sheets/$12.00

I received: *FULL SIZE*

China Glaze Nail Lacquer in Faith

DSCF4262

China Glaze nail lacquers contain china clay as a nail hardener, the same material that gives porcelain its shiny finish.

Thoughts: You all know that I love China Glaze polishes, but unfortunately this is not a colour I would wear because it’s just not adventurous enough! I wish we would get glitter…

Full size: $6.95/14mL (At Chatters)

I received: *FULL SIZE*

Elizabeth Grant Biocollasis Complex Cell Vitality 3 in 1 Eye Treatment

DSCF4263

Revolutionary concentrate designed for protecting the delicate eye area from lines, dark circles and puffiness.

Thoughts: This little gadget has three silver roller balls at the applicator end that massage the area under eye as well as reduce puffiness. I’ve tried it a few times and it actually feels pretty good! Having three balls in a triangular shape feels much better than a single one.

Full size: 15mL/$29.99

I received: *FULL SIZE*

Kerastase Nutridefense Masque 2

DSCF4264

Replenishes and saturates the hair with lightweight softness and offers anti-drying protection to counter the effects of harsh external elements.

Thoughts: I love Kerastase products, but they’re are one of the more expensive hair care brands so I do my best to make what I have from this brand last as long as possible. I will certainly relish this hair mask!

Full size: 200mL/$57.00

I received: 30mL/$8.55

Donna Karan Woman

DSCF4266

The strength and softness of woman is expressed through creamy notes of orange flower that delicately wrap the confident signature core of Haitian vetiver and sandalwood.

Thoughts: I love the bottle! So sleek and contemporary looking! The fact that I also love the scent is a huge plus. I only wish it was a spray bottle.

Full size: 3.4oz/$115.00

I received: 0.24oz/$8.12

Kerastase Cristalliste Lumiere Liquide

DSCF4267

Luminous Perfecting Essence For Dry Lengths or Ends. Rebalances the hair fiber. Roots are left pure and weightless. Ends are smooth and polished. Hair is perfectly clean, luminous and weightless.

Thoughts: Oooh! My long hair will probably love this!

Full size: 50mL/$42.00

I received: 3mL/$2.52

Dermalogica Precleanse

DSCF4268

Thoughts: I didn’t know what this was at first but after reading the instructions, it turns out that it’s a cleansing oil, which I love! I love the idea of makeup and impurities just melting away.

Full size: 150mL/$50.50

I received: 15mL/$5.05

Loose Button Kabuki Brush

Total Value of Winter Luxe Box: $73.18

I’d say that I definitely got my money’s worth! I loved the extra Christmas touches that Loose Button threw in like the Christmas wishes on the back of the product card. I truly felt like I was opening up something special during the holidays. I have decided to sign up with Loose Button for the full year so I am looking forward to what Loose Button has in store for its subscribers for 2013!

  6. Your box is definitely better than others I've seen, but it still doesn't make me scream to sign up with them. The packaging is beautiful though.

    1. I think when Luxe Box was the only box around, the concept was so fresh that it didn't take a lot to impress me. Now, there are so many boxes that for me it comes down to whether I can use them in my beauty routine or not. I do like luxe brands as well and there were quite a few in this season's box. LB definitely out does themselves on packaging that's for sure!

  9. :O Full Size Tatcha papers! I have wanted to try those for awhile! Please let us know how you like them! I didn't enjoy my LuxeBox entirely as I guess I am always looking for the 'wow' in each box, but I still like the polish and kabuki brush and mascara I got.
