Shoppers Redemption Event/Where I Spent Family Day

Last weekend was a long weekend for those of us in BC as our Family Day was on Feb.11th. Instead of spending that day with family, I spent it with a beloved girlfriend at Shoppers redeeming $200 worth of product! And I guess the girls at the Beauty Boutique are kind of like family…shall we see what I got?

Origins Incredible Spreadable Smoothing Ginger Body Scrub

I didn’t think I’d like the way this smelled, but it smells just like ginger candy! It was one of the bestselling products so at $34, it really was a treat which is what redemption time is all about!

Origins A Perfect World Age-Defense Skin Guardian with White Tea

This was suggested as a serum for my “young adult” skin as a light anti-aging cream. It is extremely light and gives my skin such a smooth and finished surface.

Origins Limited Edition Hand Lotion Trio

This is another treat at $44!! These were so expensive, but I’d never smelled hand lotions like these ones before! I’m such a sucker for scent, but who can resist spearmint and lemon?

Vitabath Body Wash Gift Set

I found this in the clearance section for a hefty $4.99! This set was just too cute to ignore!

Essie Good To Go Top Coat

I think I fell for Essie’s new packaging for nail care products, but I’ve been experimenting with some different top coats to see if OTD still reigns supreme. I just hate how it gets so gummy at the end of the bottle. I haven’t tried this Essie one yet, but I’d love to see how fast their “rapid dry” really is.

Macadamia Deep Repair Masque

Too much hype on the blogosphere has finally pushed me to pick this up! I didn’t even know my SDM carried it! I can’t wait to try it because everyone of you seems to love it!

Revlon Mini Tweezer Set

More clearance finds! This was $0.99 and was something I thought was so cute that I had to get it. I kept seeing this over Christmas and wanted to get it, but figured I didn’t need it.

Revlon Crazy Shine

Another $0.99 purchase! I’ve heard these are awful, but I love “all the…small things” so I guess I will find out for myself. Sorry, I heard Blink 182 right there and had to quote them.

Urban Decay Eye Shadow in Toasted

I think I am very lucky to have Urban Decay in my SDM Beauty Boutique so I picked up the colour that I use the most in the original Naked Palette and have actually panned! I wanted to depot this and add it to my UNII palette. I LOVE this colour so much. It’s my favourite neutral ever.

And that’s it! I ended up paying just $4.95 for all of this! Stay tuned for the next SDM post as there was another points event the day after this one!

  1. You got some really great things, Jayne. Essie Good to Go is my favourite top coat - I personally find it dries very quickly. And the Origins ginger line is another favourite... smells so yummy!

  3. Terribly jealous that you have a Shoppers that carries Origins! I did a little Shoppers redemption, too. But I only got one thing, a Tanda Luxe. I'm now back down to 21,000 points and waiting for another 20x the points event haha. Optimum points are a vicious cycle of consumerism lol.

Have a terrific weekend! This is my family day long weekend in Ontario. Going to spend it apres-skiing and probably shopping.

Ps, LOLing over your Blink182 reference.. they need to make a comeback haha :) x

    1. Edit... Just discovered there's three shoppers near me that have it. One is even down the block haha. It closes at 6:30.. that's probably why I've never been there lol.

  10. I really like Origins too. I like ordering online cause they send you gifts all the time. But if MY SDM sold it I would get it there instead (more points). I am still so jealous your SDM sells Urban Decay. I think Toasted is one of my favorite shades from Naked 1 too, that and Buck.

    1. I was tempted to order online too because they also have the makeup, but the points are SUCH an advantage!

  11. I actually like those Crazy Shine buffers. They do make your nails really shiny! I don't use mine a lot, but it is good if you need a buffer/shiner thing.

This keeps reminding me I need to shop more at Shoppers to get more points!
