Annabelle Cosmetics | Twist Up Retractable Lipstick Crayon

I love eye shadow and lipstick crayons and I don’t know if any of you were just as obsessed with Annabelle’s Twist Up Challenge (Check out MizzJ) back in October of last year, but I wanted to see every colour in the Annabelle Twist Up line and today I have two beautiful colours to share with you!

This is a retractable lip crayon that you twist up to get more product. They are also paraben-free and promise full coverage colour without tugging at the lips. There are 24 colours in the entire collection ranging from barely-there nudes to dark, vampy purples.

When I saw the name of the colour, I was scared. I thought it would be too scary of a red for me to wear comfortably, but it is actually perfect. It has a hint of orange in it that softens the red. For someone who is reticent about reds, Monroe is a beautiful colour to start with.

Fuchsianista is also another beautiful colour, but is VERY bright! I don’t think I could ever wear this colour comfortably because it is intense! I felt like a Barbie doll and kept wanting to do the duck face every time I caught a reflection of myself in the mirror!

Price: 9.95CDN/1.5g

Packaging: Black chubby pencil with clear plastic cap.

Results/Discussion: Very pigmented and creamy! Wear time was not bad sitting at around 3 hours for me, but it’s a fairly light formula so if you plan on eating a good meal you will probably have to reapply. This formula is also fairly hydrating so unless your lips are very dry, you shouldn’t have to apply lip balm or live through dry discomfort while you’re wearing these Twist Ups! These pencils also have a slightly matte finish so make sure to exfoliate your lips as we all know that this particular type of finish can be somewhat unforgiving on a dry surface!

Conclusion: These Twist Ups are wonderful! Super comfortable to wear, use, and store in a purse/makeup bag! The colour line is so extensive that I now have to pick up some neutral colours as well!

Will there be a Twist Up in your purse soon?
