I first discovered Crawford Street Skincare thorough the Seasonsbox subscription service and was pleased to find out that 1) this company is based right in Toronto, Ontario and 2) all products are free of petrochemical derivatives, such as mineral oil and petroleum, parabens, sodium laurel sulphate, artificial dyes and fragrances. One of my favourite products from Crawford Street Skincare is one of their top sellers and is the Lemon Deodorant Cream ($12.00).
This citrus scented cream deodorant is completely natural and it works! It includes over ten essential oils that are deodorizing, antibacterial and antifungal. No aluminum, no parabens, no yellow shirt stains!
Ingredients: Cetearyl alcohol, Sodium cetearyl sulfate, Cocos nucifera (Coconut) oil, Butyrospermum parkii (Shea butter), Theobroma cacao (Cocoa butter), Sodium bicarbonate, Cornstarch, Citrus limonum (Lemon) oil, Citrus racemes (Grapefruit) oil, Citrus aurantifolia (Lime) oil, Citrus sinensis (Sweet orange) oil, Lavandula angustifolia (Lavender) oil, Pelargonium graveolens (Geranium) oil, Melaleuca alternifolia (Tea tree) oil, Coriandrum sativum (Coriander) oil, Cupressus sempervirens (Cypress) oil, Syzygium aromaticum L. (Clove bud) oil, Origanum compactum benth (Oregano) oil.
So what is it exactly that’s making this deodorant cream work? It’s actually a blend of lemon, grapefruit, lime, sweet orange, lavender, tea tree, geranium, coriander, cypress, clove, oregano oils that act to naturally deodorize all those lovely glitter and unicorn scents we produce.
Final Verdict: Oddly enough, this smells almost good enough to eat, but don’t! Instead just take a dime sized amount onto your fingers and rub on your underarms. I know. It sounds pretty messy right? I won’t lie, with my long nails it kind of was at the beginning, but now I use a plastic spatula. The cream absorbs quite quickly and I am dry within seconds! This isn’t the most convenient of deodorant deliveries, but because I am so incredibly picky with my deodorant scents, when I find something I like, I keep it on rotation. I found that I didn’t quite stay as “fresh-smelling” if I was pulling more than an 8 hour day, but on a day off this is perfect.
