More hours of sunshine and longer days can only mean one thing. Winter is finally over and spring has arrived! Even though it has been Spring for a couple of weeks, my skin still feels like it has been recovering from what feels like one of the driest winters I have ever experienced! It’s either that or entering my 30s hit me like a ton of (very dry) bricks. Thank goodness the folks at Farley Co. Beauty have us all taken care of!
Baylis & Harding | Sweet Mandarin & Grapefruit Bath Foam ($8.29)
Nothing starts the journey to softer, nourished skin better than a good bath foam filled with vitamins A, B and C. The scent of this bath foam smells more like sweet mandarin to me than grapefruit and is fairly subtle. Not overpowering in any way. I used this as a bubble bath and it foams like crazy! Not to mention that you get 750mL for just $8.29!
EcoTools | EcoPouf Mini Sponge ($1.99)
This is just the right size for me to grab with my hands and what I love even more is the fact that the netting is made with 100% pre consumer recycled material that is earth-friendly! The netting is quiFlete soft and serves up a great lather, especially when used with the bath foam!
Flexitol | Very Dry Skin Cream ($12.99)
This moisturizer is INTENSE. The Flexitol skincare line is formulated to relieve the symptoms of medically diagnosed skin issues like eczema, psoriasis and dermatitis and soothe and hydrate extremely dry skin. This has 12.5% urea which is what you want in a moisturizer for skin that is so dry, it’s cracking or red. When I first saw this I thought it would be greasy or take a long time to absorb, but I was very wrong! The finish is totally non-greasy and of course, my skin has been grateful. The smell is slightly medicinal and can be a bit off-putting if you are sensitive, but does fade eventually.
Flexitol | Intense Hydrating Lotion ($12.99)
This has 2% urea and is a more general moisturizer that protects against dryness and is again a non-greasy, quick-absorbing formula that seals in moisture. The consistency of this moisturizer is not quite has thick as the Very Dry Skin Cream, but still promises 24 hours of hydration! I also really love the pump dispenser!
Flexitol | Heel Magic ($14.99)
I know it’s only the beginning of Spring, but I am already trying to get my feet ready for sandal season and what better way to do it than with a no-mess stick applicator that contains urea, shea butter and lanolin and olive oil! I was feeling lazy the other night and didn’t want to get my hands messy so I used heel magic on my legs to moisturize them! Heel Magic is supposed to work on what looks like some pretty destroyed heels so there is no doubt in my mind that my feet will be ready well ahead of summer!
