Lush | Easter 2014 Golden Egg Review

I know there is a serious reason for the Easter holiday, but for the sake of this post I am just going to focus on the cute, bunny side of Easter business starting with the first of my Lush Easter goodies – the Golden Egg ($8.95)! This little “oeuf d’or” smells just like the Lush cult classic soap “Honey, I Washed the Kids” which is a honey-toffee fragrance good enough to eat!

The glitter gets EVERYWHERE so that’s why I’m holding it the way that I am. I’m getting one last look at it before I let this sparkling beauty take the plunge!

This is a Bath Bomb Melt in that it sinks at first as the outside of the Golden Egg is cocoa butter, but then it bounces back to the surface to reveal its bath fizzy centre!

It looks like I have helped “birth” a bath fizzy!

I couldn’t tell until I got into the tub, but the water had golden sparkles in it!

Final Verdict: This smelled so good. If the scent of honey and toffee isn’t enough to relax you, I don’t know what will. I emerged from my bath with delicately scented skin that had golden glitter on it and the cocoa butter left my skin feeling moisturized. I just patted myself dry and I was ready for a night of MORE relaxation! This is a wonderful treat for anyone and I HIGHLY recommend picking up the Golden Egg before it disappears from Lush shelves!
