I cheated a little on my favourites this year as I skipped June partially due to being really busy at work and also because I just didn’t have anything THAT interesting to share with you. I’d like to think that after two months I have a few products that are worth a mention and who knows, maybe they’ll make it to your favourites lists as well!
Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette
First up, I’ve been loving this palette and using specifically the shades Liar, Mugshot and Blackheart. I haven’t quite moved into the rose gold shades of this palette, but they really are the shades that differentiate this palette from the others.
Boscia BB Cream
Along with having an SPF of 27, this BB cream is oil-free which means that it’s perfect for slightly oilier summer skin. This is self-adjusting in colour and leaves skin with a dewy complexion. I have used this literally every day from June to the end of July and absolutely love it.
OPI Nail Lacquer in My Signature is DC
I freakin’ LOVE this colour ever since using it in this taping mani. This is wonderfully shiny, smooth to apply and doesn’t have that silver “grit” that some silver polishes have.
chiiki munki Super Gloss in Super Bare
This is a Vancouver makeup brand that is under the skoah umbrella. This is a non-sticky, shiny nude lip gloss that I have been enjoying when layered with Fresh Sugar Honey.
Laura Mercier Lip Glace in Bare Baby
This is a great baby pink that actually suits my skin tone! I love pinks, but if they are too light I feel like I look like a sex doll. I’m not in that line of work so I’d prefer not to look like I do.
Fresh Sugar Honey
Everyone loves these. They smell like lemon, provide amazing colour payoff and most importantly for summer – SPF 15. We focus so much on protecting our faces that our lips often get neglected. Having a sunburn on your lips is not fun and I’ve actually had a hard time finding tinted lip products that provide SPF.
Urban Decay Dual Naked 3 24/7 Glide On Pencil in Darkside and Blackheart
Darkside is a dark taupe and Blackheart is black infused with purple glitter. I love this combination of eyeliner colours and have surprised myself at how much I use Blackheart. It seems like every eye look I do benefits from a little purple glitter!
St.Ives Fresh Hydration Lotion in Naturally Energizing
This is a continuous spray moisturizer that I have been gravitating towards for my lazy summer days. This moisturizer smells light and citrusy and although it may not be the most hydrating for dry skin, it sure does absorb fast and makes a fun noise when spraying.
Roc Soleil Protexion Invisible Touch SPF 45
I have reviewed this sunscreen already so I won’t say too much more about it, but I’ve been using a few different spray-on sunscreens and this one still feels truly invisible! It’s expensive though so I can understand toughing out the sticky feeling for a sunscreen half the price.
skoah pep talk body lotion
This is just a lightweight body lotion with actual peppermint oil and plant extracts in it so your skin actually tingles once applied. It smells and feels so refreshing on my skin that this is a definite must-have summer moisturizer!
