GOSH Cosmetics | Lip Lacquer in Funky Lips, Crazy Volume Mascara, Prime ‘n Set and Forever Eye Shadow Stick in Plum Review, Swatches and Makeup Look

I’m going to just say it. GOSH darnnit, I loved these new products from GOSH Cosmetics! GOSH is a Denmark-based beauty company that I am most familiar with for the coveted nail polish colour, Holographic Hero (swatch) so why I haven’t tried any other GOSH products is kind of shocking. Today I have FOUR products to share with you as well as a smokin’ hot makeup look that I wore to the grocery store just so I could test out product longevity. I was told twice by my husband and friend that I was “a little made up” for getting groceries, but if I’m going to get fruits and veggies, I may as well look big pimpin’ doing it.

Gosh Cosmetics Lip Lacquer in Funky Lips (2)

Lip Lacquer in the shade “Funky Lips” is said to be a 2 in 1 product as it has the pigmentation of a lipstick and the shine of a lip gloss. First of all, the packaging is super cute and when I first saw this, I did think it was a nail polish so I was already sold on the “lacquer” part of the product! This is very pigmented and a bit slippery to apply thanks to the presence of argan oil and Vitamin E that are meant to keep lips soft and hydrated. USE A MIRROR when applying this. I have a very defined cupid’s bow so the doe foot applicator combined with the slippery formula forced me to apply this very slowly.

Unfortunately, the smell of this product was less than appealing. It smells like artificial watermelon which may appeal to some, but certainly not me. The scent disappears once on the lips, but it is QUITE strong. With a product like this, I knew the wear time wasn’t going to be great and I was right. 1-2 hours was how long it lasted on me and if you eat, the lacquer starts to move around. It never actually “sets” which is probably why your lips never feel dry.

Gosh Cosmetics Crazy Volume Mascara

Gosh Cosmetics Crazy Volume Mascara (2)

The Crazy Volume Mascara has what I thought to be a scary big brush, but now that I’m looking at the picture, it doesn’t look that scary. It’s about the size of my eye which I know is not overly large, but I feel like I am once again in a blind spot when I use this mascara. What I DO love about this mascara is that the promise of a clump-free formula is TRUE. There is absolutely no clumping as the formula is very dry, making this mascara so buildable that you can definitely achieve some amazing volume! Wear time is all day, but not waterproof so while you may not get raccoon eyes, don’t go swimming or work out.

Gosh Cosmetics Forever Eye Shadow Stick in Plum

Gosh Cosmetics Forever Eye Shadow Stick in Plum (2)

This is the Forever Eye Shadow Stick in Plum which is one of THE creamiest, most soft eye shadow sticks I have ever used! There is literally zero tugging on the eye and I almost had to reign in some of my outta control hand pressure because you really don’t need to work this product at all unlike a lot of other waterproof shadow sticks. Only a very light touch is needed and because this has a slick, almost oily formula, there is a longer setting time so you have quite a bit of time to blend.

Gosh Cosmetics Prime n Set

The GOSH Prime‘n Set is both a primer and mattifying setting powder that like other primers, reduces any redness, minimizes pores and creates a flawless starting point. I don’t have large pores, but I do have redness on my cheeks and around my nose which this powder neutralized. As a setting powder, I was able to keep my matte finish all day and was impressed with the oil it managed to control as even someone like me with dry skin can get a greasy T-zone as the day goes on.

GOSH Cosmetics Makeup Look (5)

Putting it all together! I smoked out the eye shadow stick with some black eye shadow as it was a little TOO glittery (if you can believe it) at the outer corners of my eyes. I added some blush and then set my face with the Prime ‘n Set giving my face a soft touchable-looking finish. I mean, don’t you want to touch my face right now? It’s great stuff!

GOSH Cosmetics are available exclusively at Shoppers Drug Mart and Pharmaprix all across Canada.
