What I am absolutely LOVING about this Fall season is how much COLOUR there is in every collection from makeup to the runway. After having just attended Vancouver Fashion Week, I can safely say that colour is here to stay through those often dreary Fall Vancouver months. As part of the New York Color Canada Beauty Pro Program, my challenge was to create a catwalk-worthy look. From the makeup I usually see on a runway, my look is quite tame. Maybe I’ll spunk it up next time, but I know that blue eye shadow can be a scary one to wear so let’s start with baby steps!
To create this Fall look, I will be using the HD Color Trio Eye Shadow in 778 Blues Cafe, Waterproof Eyeliner Pencil in 936 Sky High and Big Bold Curl Mascara.
The eye shadows swatch fairly well with the baby blue shade looking more like a pearly white with my skin tone. I had to use a couple of swipes to build to the intensity shown above. The eyeliner was VERY smooth to apply and had a metallic finish.
To get this eye look, I used the middle brown shade all over my lid, followed by “smoking out”the dark blue shade on the outer corners with a fluffy brush all the way up to my brow bone and into the crease. I replicated the the same colour scheme on my lower lash line and finished with the baby blue shade on the inner corners of my eyes and just underneath my brows. I lined just my lower waterline with Sky High and applied one coat of Big Bold Curl Mascara.
How would you wear a bold colour like blue?
