I talk about “natural and organic” beauty products a fair amount and although I wouldn’t call myself an eco-blogger, I do have my eyes peeled for stores and products that give me the option to be a little more healthy in my beauty choices. Good Earth Beauty is a family-owned business that prides itself on carrying only natural and/or organic beauty products that are cruelty-free.

As an introduction to GDB, I am starting with some lip care items that I have been using quite a fair bit now that I have started wearing more bright lippies. The Chocolate Lip Scrub ($8.50 USD) and Strawberry Lip Balm ($4.99 USD) smell just as good as they sound and are healthy enough to eat!
Ingredients: Organic sunflower oil, organic shea butter, beeswax, organic cocoa butter, natural flavour oils
This is one of those lip balms that you really have to warm up to be able to get enough on your lips. I am not a fan of this type of lip balm and figured I would be dragging my finger across my lips just to deposit the lip balm, but I was wrong! It’s almost like once I broke that “seal”, application on my lips was INCREDIBLY smooth. This lip balm also wasn’t gritty either like some natural lip balms can be with the scent being more like “strawberry-cocoa” because of the cocoa butter. There are number of other lip balm flavours that look pretty tasty such as white chocolate and cherry vanilla. *SWOON*
Ingredients: sugar, organic sunflower oil, organic coconut oil, organic almond oil, organic shea butter, organic jojoba oil and flavour
This was my favourite product out of the two because the scent reminded me of chocolate ice cream in a fresh waffle cone! I’m fairly sure I ate some “bonus” scrub while exfoliating my lips, but looking at those ingredients I’m sure my insides will be fine. This definitely feel like something I could make at home, but what was nice about this particular scrub was how soft it was. Almost like touching fresh snow. If your lips are needing a really rough scrub, you might need a grittier scrub, but for daily exfoliation or just getting some VERY pigmented lipstick bits off this is perfect.
