NAIL ART | Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer

How many sets of Christmas nails can I squeeze in this year? Holiday nail art is SO TOUGH because there are so many cute designs and there is a definite time limit! After the 25th, it’s all about glitter and celebratory NYE nail art which is a whole other type of fun. I have never done reindeer before so after pouring over what felt like dozens of ways to paint reindeer heads, I settled on these goofy looking guys with an appearance by the man himself – RUDOLPH!

Reindeer Nails

For my base, I used 2 coats of NCLA – Let’s Stay Forever, a pastel baby blue, and 2 coats of Anna Sui – 107, a VERY sheer glitter in a clear blue base. For my reindeer, I used Butter London – Tea & Toast for the heads, China Glaze – IX for one nose and Barry M – Red Glitter for Rudolph. The eyes were created with a dotting tool and black and white polish. The antlers were hand-drawn with brown acrylic paint.

I feel like having reindeer on every nail is a bit much so I decided to make little hoof prints with a dotting tool and China Glaze – IX. The hoofs are created in a similar matter to creating leopard print nails. I topped it off with some top coat and the reindeer were ready to go!

Any Christmas nails you love seeing or creating? I’m curious to try some other designs!
