MAKEUP | Guerlain Les Tendres Meteorites Perles de Blush Angelic Radiance Review & Swatches

I feel like Spring disappears so quickly in the world of beauty as collections are planned so far in advance that even I start thinking one season ahead. II briefly touched on a few items in Guerlain’s Les Tendres Spring Collection in a post from February (here) and thought I’d feature a few products that caught my attention or were review requests from readers. From the moment you open the box, you can instantly smell that characteristic floral Guerlain scent radiating from the Meteorites Perles de Blush Angelic Radiance*($58.00 CDN/0.45oz). As you can see from the cherubic angel on the packaging, this blush is all about giving you irresistibly angelic-looking cheeks.

The packaging is a very light cardboard which did surprise me considering the packaging of other Guerlain products felt so much more substantial. The blush also comes with a white “pouf pouf” which is what I always say in my head when I take it out. I kind of wish it had a little fabric handle though. Maybe that would have made this look too “Asian-cute”, instead of luxe.

Some of my meteorites broke which was a little sad, but they still look quite pretty with a mini-pearl blend of: vibrant fuschia to add some life to cheeks, petal rose to awaken and a touch of iridescent champagne to add a luminescent glow.

I really thought that the colour would be crazy pink because the pouf pouf looked so pigmented, but it actually softens quite beautifully once on the skin (for how it looks on the face, see link at the top. The shimmer is barely perceptible and gives skin what looks like an extra healthy-looking boost of life.

Final Verdict: A true Guerlain addict/lover/collector will have to have this blush regardless of the less substantial packaging. The actual pearls inside are just gorgeous though and the price is actually VERY reasonable considering a typical boxed blush from Benefit is $36/0.17oz and this is $58/0.45oz which I thought was pretty incredible. This blush colour seems to look good on everyone and is so natural-looking yet still pigmented. I’m not fan of the puff applicator so I have a feeling I will be swirling my blush brush in there to get my colour. I just hope I don’t brush those pearls on the floor…it’s happened before…

This is a limited edition item so get it while you can at Guerlain counters and boutiques!
