She’s here. In Canada. And beauty lovers everywhere are lining up as of today in Holt’s on Bloor Street, Toronto. Charlotte Tilbury has long been one of those coveted UK brands that you watched YTubers like Zoella rave about and hoped that one day you yourself would have just a taste. Well, not only is the brand launching in Toronto today, but will also be coming to Holt’s in Vancouver the week of July 6th! To celebrate, myself and 9 other Canadian Beauty Bloggers are answering Charlotte’s questions of “Who Do I Want to be Today?” by recreating one of her 10 signature looks. I’m actually very tame day to day, but this virtual space is my playground and I almost always wanted to be a bit of a rebel with colour, but still look fairly feminine.
Today, I am “The Rebel”.
There are two sides to “The Rebel” look: a day and a night version with the day version already being QUITE adventurous. I followed Charlotte’s video tutorial as best as I could considering my features weren’t quite as bold as the model’s especially when it came to surface area of eyelids.
The Day version pairs the bold green eyes with a neutral lip like Lip Lustre in Hall of Fame* ($28.00 CDN) while the Night version switches out that neutral lip for the perfect red pout.
I thought the eyes would be hard to create, but the eyeshadow palette is created in such a way that with each step you are merely building up the colour which means you can pretty much use the same brushes until the final look is achieved. I used just two eyeshadow brushes:a fluffy brush to deposit colour and a smudger brush to intensify it.

If you had a look at the video, it is obvious I look nothing at all like the model, but I feel like this look worked out for me in the end which is the whole idea behind the 10 signature looks. Anyone can embrace them and make them their own. This was my first time working with Charlotte Tilbury products and I am very impressed. The lipstick, blush and eyeshadow palette are well worth the money and I KNOW that I missing the Film Star Bronzer and Air Brush Flawless Finish in my life!
There will be a public meet & greet with Charlotte at Holt’s on
Bloor in Toronto, June 24 from 6-8pm. That’s TODAY! Too bad she’s not coming to Vancouver, but I know it’s a bit of a trip. I will be living vicariously through you TO gals!
