MAKEUP | Summer 2015 Mary Kay at Play Lip & Cheek Stick in Razzleberry and Peach Pop Swatches & Review

I am a recent cream blush convert and only since last year have I been unafraid to wear them. Now, I am constantly on the lookout for pigmented, blendable and fun colours to make my looks positively POP! I have been playing around with the Summer collection from Mary Kay in the last few weeks and have come across some definitive favourites that I quite possibly cannot live without starting with the Mary Kay Lip and Cheek Sticks!

I was actually quite surprised at how intensely both Razzleberry*($12.00 CDN) and Peach Pop* swatched! Look at those colours! The texture is very creamy, leaning more to how a lip product should feel, but was oh so easy to blend on the skin. Both shades honestly took my breath away.

Peach Pop is a beautiful peachy coral that I have been wearing most often because it gives a “happy flush” to the skin and to my lips. I am wearing Peach Pop on both my cheeks and lips, applied with fingertips.

Razzleberry is probably the darkest cream blush I have ever used and is not a colour I would have thought to include in a summer makeup collection, but it’s actually quite stunning! I think with Fall’s upcoming burgundy shades and flawless skin, this cream blush might be my seasonal favourite! I am wearing Razzleberry on my cheeks and Mary Kay at Play Jelly Lip Gloss in Jammin’ Berry*.

Final Verdict: I LOVE THESE SO HARD. At $12 each, they aren’t going to bankrupt you and these are some of the best colour payoff I have ever seen in lip and cheek stick products. Usually, cream blushes are more sheer and you can build them up, but these are like BAM! Colour! So, be careful about how much product you pick up, but if you pick up too much colour just blend away!

These are available until August 15 on www.marykay.ca or through your Mary Kay consultant.
