I have always been a fan of the quality of Essence Cosmetics nail polishes considering the "hefty" price tag of $2 per bottle! I've never had a single qualm regarding the formula so I couldn't imagine how much better it could really get! How wrong I was! Essence has just stepped up their nail game by reformulating their polishes to give extra shine and durability with the new Gel Nail Polishes! The shine was apparent within the first coat and a part of me felt tempted to go wild and NOT even bother with a top coat because the nail polish finish was just so damn shiny.
I received a number of polishes to play with for this month's #EssenceGelNails campaign and immediately gravitated to the teal "Let's Get Lost" and "Play with my Mint". I have a habit of wanting to do ALL THE NAIL art whenever I'm thinking of ideas, but forced myself to focus and keep it simple with this French manicure accentuated with a piece of striping tape across each nail.
Final verdict: The brush, the formula, the pigmentation are all A++ from me! I have never enjoyed painting my nails so much. I am already plotting what I will do next, but it might not be for a few days as I'm only on day 2 with left hand being perfect and right hand having 2 small chips. For the price and the quality of product, I highly recommend getting the whole collection because I know I will!
