MAKEUP LOOK | MAKE UP FOR EVER Smoky Eye ft. Lash Show Creative Impact Lashes

It has been far too long that Cosmetic Proof has gone without a MAKE UP FOR EVER post! I received a couple of products for the Fall season that I have been playing around with and then when these amazing false lashes from the new Make Up For Ever Lash Show Collection came out, I was like, "I HAVE to put this all together!"

The Lash Show Collection is composed of 23 Creative and 27 Natural false lash styles to suit every single occasion (from everyday to being a performer for Cirque Du Soleil). The lashes are made of 100% synthetic fibers, are incredibly lightweight and made to allow for all-day wear. They are surprisingly flexible and also promise to fit all eye shapes!

I was sent styles C-801* ($22.00 CDN each) and N-304* and of course, for today's makeup look I had to go for the Creative lashes because...I mean...just look at them!

The lash glue that is included is latex-free and includes an eyeliner style applicator for precision. What I found cool about this adhesive is that in the tube, the glue is an iridescent white, but as it dries it starts to look blue! I am also grateful that this is latex-free as I have now come to the conclusion that my eyes burn because I have developed some sort of sensitivity to latex in the past year. My eyes do not burn at all with this glue which makes my eyes very happy.

As much as I love crazy-looking lashes, my Asian eyes are much smaller than most other ethnicities forcing me to trim my falsies almost every time. Luckily, I did not have to trim C-801 at all, but did have to trim a little of the N-304 to make them fit my eye. The eye lash band was quite impressive with how nicely its curve fit my eye making this eyelash application one of the FASTEST ones I've done!

For this makeup look, I wanted to keep it very simple and make it all about these gorgeous lashes so as long as this product list is, I have only used one eyeshadow and it was a smoky eye for the win!

Face:

Brows:
Dior Diorshow Brow Styler in Universal Dark Brown #002* 

Eyes: 
Apply your favourite eyeshadow primer all over the lid and under eye.
Apply a concealer to hide dark circles.
Apply Make Up For Ever Waterproof Eyeliner in 0L* messily to the upper and lower lash line. Smudge liner with a smudge brush and smoke outward.
Apply ME-108*, a shimmery grey shadow, all over lid and into creaese. Bring colour into a shape of a cat eye flick. Apply more shadow on outer third of lid to give a gradient effect with just one eyeshadow shade!
Line lower waterline with Make Up For Ever Waterproof Eyeliner in 21L*.
Line upper lash line with Make Up For Ever Ink Liner*.
Apply Make Up For Ever Smoky Extravagant Mascara*.
Apply Make Up For Ever Lash Show Creative Impact Lashes in C-801*. 

Cheeks: 
Make Up For Ever HD Blush in 301* 

Lips: 
Make Up For Ever Aqua Lip in 8C*Make Up For Ever Rouge Artist Intense in 43*

Final verdict: There is something to be said for synthetic lashes. I know these will last and they were incredibly light. No, they didn't FEEL like real hair, but the lash band was so nice that they blended right in with my natural lashes. I loved the C-801s. They were striking and I wore them for a few hours until I had to take them off for a facial. I'm so pleased with them and I promise to wear the N-304s in another makeup post soon!
