MAKEUP | Dior Addict Gloss in #613 Cygne Noir and #322 Sparkle Review with Swatches

Last weekend, I went digging through my photo stash and found these Dior Addict Glosses from the Holiday 2015 State of Gold Collection! The holidays are always a bit of a crazy time and though I tried to pump out as many posts as I could, November and December at work are just incredibly busy so I guess these little guys missed the posting boat so let's thing of today's post as more of a throwback.

Dior Addict Gloss State of Gold Holiday Collection

Dior Addict Glosses have been around for quite awhile with me purchasing my first one 10 years ago. I remember picking up a Barbie pink shimmer similar to these ones and layering it over every single lipstick I had. I had suddenly discovered how gloss could transform lipstick and I never looked back! Though the formula of the Dior Addict Gloss has changed to become the Dior Addict ULTRA Gloss, I still love Cygne Noir* and Sparkle* to dress up my existing lip colour. Cygne Noir is my favourite to use on top of purples and Sparkle on top of nudes and light pinks.

The formula is not incredibly sticky which means longevity is not great, hovering around the 2 hour mark which after 10 years, I was used to. Though these glosses look opaque in the tube, you can see in the swatches that the colour becomes much more sheer.

Final verdict: Though these glosses look perfectly fine on their own, they really seem to work better when layered over top of solid lipsticks. The shimmer isn't gritty and really make the lips *sparkle*.

Though these two colours are not available anymore, there are similar shades in the new Dior Addict Ultra Gloss line available at Sephora and all Dior counters. Happy Friday everyone!
