MAKEUP | MAC Vibe Tribe Gleamtones Powder in Dunes at Dusk Review with Swatches

Initially, I wasn't sure how I felt about the MAC Vibe Tribe Collection, but after much beauty soul-searching I decided that I must have ONE thing and one thing only - the Gleamtones Powder (7g/$38.50 CDN)! In one tribal style colour-blocked pan is a quartet of highlighting and bronzing powders ranging from coral to champagne and shimmery pink to bronze. There is a little something for every occasion!

I definitely fell in love with the geometric design both in the pan and on the packaging. None of us need anymore makeup, but the design was so pretty that I had to add this highlighter to my collection! The case is what I believe to be standard MAC plastic, but for a $40 product, felt a bit light and somewhat cheap.

Individually, each of the shades swatched quite nicely on their own, but swirl them together and they seemingly create this universal colour that would work for everyone! I also found that using fingers or a dense brush was best at picking up the most colour.

Final verdict: MAC lovers will have to have this powder and even someone like myself who isn't a die hard MAC fan HAD TO have this and though the packaging is on the flimsy side, I am still very happy with what is in the pan!
