NAILS | BCD NAIL ART CHALLENGE WEEK 12 - The Negative Space Chevrons #BCDNAILS

I absolutely love the nail art designs that Mari, from Mari's Nails, comes up with and when I see a soft sweater and perfectly executed nails in the photo I know it's her hand! Last year, she had a really chic negative space mani on her blog that fit perfectly with Week 12 of the BCD Nail Art Challenge which was CHEVRONS!

Using striping tape, I taped off chevron shapes on my nails with varying widths. Find a black polish that is easily opaque in one thicker coat as you will be peeling off the striping tape almost immediately. I chose to use Revlon Colorstay Gel Envy in Blackjack as my ultimate black which worked perfectly! After waiting a solid 15 minutes, for everything to dry I applied my favourite top coat. The worst is having your perfect manicure smeared by the finishing step!
