NAILS | A-England Shall Be My Queen Swatch and Tiny Bit of Nail Art #ManiMonday

I love a good holo polish and when I first started my journey through the rabbit hole of nail polish, getting my hands on A-England polishes was a dream come true. I purchased my very FIRST A-England polish from Nail Polish Canada back in 2012 (Tristam) and to this day, this brand has some of my favourite holos. I only wish I had better lights and/or sunshine in Vancouver to showcase how pretty Shall Be My Queen* is!

A-England has just released their 5 piece holiday collection, Tennyson's Romance, and like all of A-England's collections, have a theme with brilliantly sophisticated polish names. I will be sharing the whole collection with you all over the coming weeks as there are a couple of fun nail art things I would like to attempt with this gorgeous holo'd collection! Starting with Shall Be My Queen, this is ONE COAT. That's right! A-England polishes are everything you would ever want in a polish: one coat for opacity AND self-leveling. The brush is the right size and I rarely have to do any cuticle clean up. IT JUST COMES OUT PERFECT THE VERY FIRST TIME.

Ring lights don't do holo polishes ANY justice, but this is Shall Be My Queen in white artificial light. You don't get any rainbow, just silvery glitter. I then decided to dress up this swatch with some black flower water decals from Born Pretty just cuz.

I was waiting for sunshine yesterday and instead got torrential rain so the below shot is taken in rainy daylight. Sunshine is really the best for a holo and I will do my best to check the weather reports to do this collection justice because I don't think I will have proper artificial lighting for awhile.
