FRAGRANCE | Kat Von D Saint + Sinner Voxbox #TheResurrectionIsReal

I still have incredibly mixed feelings about Kat Von D. I really liked Sandra Bullock and while we have no idea what may have been going on with her and Jesse James, I can't help but think of that drama when I think of KVD. When it comes to her makeup brand and what she has done in the world of cosmetics, I have to say I am impressed. She was one of the first brands that I tried that had edgier shades of lipsticks and eyeshadows and I truly believe that KVD remains heavily involved with her brand despite how massive it has gotten.

While I have never been a die hard fan of KVD, her Tattoo Liner in Trooper is something I always use and have in my collection simply because it just IS one of the best liquid liners on the market. If this were ever discontinued, I would probably be just as crazed as the fans who 8 years ago were devastated when Saint and Sinner fragrances were discontinued. Both of these scents have been brought back to life this summer with the ONLY change being completely revamped gothic-inspired bottles.

I know I ranted about Influenster in my last post, but I thought this was actually a very cute Voxbox. Included in the Saint + Sinner Voxbox were deluxe 5mL sizes of both fragrances. I love these miniature bottles because they actually last a ridiculously long time and look so pretty on my dresser. They also give me Alice in Wonderland feels as they make me feel like a giant!

The first scent up is the broody looking Sinner which is a cool scent that smells warm and spicy thanks to top notes of patchouli, wood and cinnamon. While I like this scent, I find it a bit intense and musky for the summer so this will be something I pull out in the upcoming Fall and Winter season. There is even a touch of vanilla and mandarin which is probably why I like the scent at all! I mean, even those two scents together are something I would wear!

My favourite of the two scents is Saint which is a floral fragrance with top notes of vanilla, musk and jasmine. Vanilla, my favourite! This is a sweeter scent and one that I have felt more comfortable wearing in the summer heat. What I love about having a chance to try both of these scents is that they can be worn layered. It's funny how smelling them both, you know they are different, but somehow related. They actually compliment each other quite well!

Final verdict: Both scents are quite alluring and enticing with the dry down scent being just as nice. The wear time is decent as an EDP should be with my pulse points still being scented at the end of a 10 hour day. Both of these scents are now here to stay so if you are looking for a new Fall scent to match with soon-to-be sweater weather, head to Sephora to give Saint and/or Sinner a sniff!
