HAIR | Noughty "To The Rescue" Hair Care and GIVEAWAY!

Welcome to the last week before Christmas as well as my last giveaway here on the blog for 2017! You guys all know that hair care has become very important to me and I don't mean to sound vain when I say that, but having fun with hair colours has taken its toll and I have dialed it back when it comes to getting my hair done every two months a crazy colour. I think I am going to stick with my silver hair journey and even though I am now becoming an ashy blonde, I am ok with it and will not be subjecting myself to the chair again until Jan/Feb.

In the meantime, I have been testing out a brand new hair care line that as of this past September, is available at London Drugs! Noughty products are made in the UK and in addition to being 97% natural, are vegetarian and vegan friendly and free from parabens, sulphates, petrochemicals and SILICONES! Silicone-free haircare ALWAYS fascinates me because I cannot imagine my hair being tangle-free without them!

I have been reviewing the "To The Rescue" collection for Frizzy Damaged Hair, though there are collections for Normal/Dry, Sensitive and Curly/Wavy hair, and have been pleasantly surprised!

Starting with the To The Rescue Shampoo* ($12.99 CDN), this is a clear, light and "not too much lather" shampoo featuring sweet almond and sunflower seed oil. Though I do enjoy lather, this shampoo was just enough lather to make my scalp and hair feel clean of build-up. The shampoo was fairly standard and I was relatively satisfied with it, but not utterly blown away. Then again, I don't really know what makes a SUPER shampoo other than having it clean my hair.

Next up was the To The Rescue Conditioner* ($12.99 CDN) that was SILICONE-FREE and made with featured ingredients shea butter and olive oil. Yes, it was creamy and YES I had super smooth hair! I flat-ironed it the next day and I had both a male coworker and client ask if I had had my hair dyed again! My hair colour looked even more vibrant!

Finally, we have my favourite product and new CAN'T LIVE WITHOUT - the Intensive Care Leave In Conditioner* ($12.99 CDN)! I have tried leave-in conditioners before in the form of sprays and oils and though they worked I still had some amount of tangling to get through. Not the case with this product! This is a thick creme so I just need maybe a dime sized amount which I work through from the middle to ends of towel-dried hair. Start blow drying and OMG, I can glide my brush through as pleasantly as slicing through a block of room temperature butter. I could not get enough of myself, I mean my hair...if you have difficult to detangle hair THIS is the best thing I have ever used.

Now, the only thing that threw me for a loop with this 97% natural line was how strong the fragrance was in all three products. It smells like an amped up version of sweet almond oil, but one thing I do notice is that fragrance is in the middle of the ingredients list so there probably is a decent amount of extra scent added to the formulation. The scent does not linger though so in the end, I will still be using my new must-have leave-in conditioner no matter the scent!

And now, one Canadian winner will be receiving a Noughty Hair Care package of their own by entering on the Rafflecopter widget below! GOOD LUCK!
