BATH & BODY | The Lush Valentine's Day Collection

I said on Twitter that I would focus less on Valentine's Day posts and more on Asian brands with the exception of Lush. I cannot say no to their seasonal collections and I feel like this year there are so many new things that even those who are boycotting Valentine's would have to pick up just for the sake of cuteness!

Lush Valentine's Day Collection

First up are the bombs and bubble bars! There are some old favourites as well as awesome new ones of course that may or may not be of a MUCH larger size than what we are used to!

Lush Valentine's Day Collection

The Rose Bombshell* ($8.95 CDN) comes out every year and is your classic rose scent so no surprises there. What IS surprising is the new GIANT ROSE BOMBSHELL*! Yes, this is a $20 bath bomb, BUT it is 700g of what will be one of the happiest baths you will ever take. Don't try to break it apart and save it because the best way to enjoy this is all at once! AND, it gets even better as the outer shell fizzes away, actual yellow rose petals begin to emerge and by the end of it, you have pink bath water and delicate rose petals just floating on the surface. If you are going to get just one thing from this year's Valentine's collection, this is the one to get!

Next up are three brand new bath bombs with the first being the Love Boat* ($7.95 CDN), a citrus blend of lemon and orange that will leave you with a pastel swirl of pink and blue bathwater, followed by the moisturizing Heart of Enlightened Expectation* ($8.95 CDN), a blend of cocoa butter, jasmine, ylang ylang and rose. This one wasn't as floral in scent as I thought it would be as the cocoa butter sort of sweetened it up a bit. The last one is one that I thought I had seen before, but I think it was white instead of pink? Tisty Tosty* ($6.95 CDN) is a fast fizzer that leaves behind pink bathwater filled with rosebuds. I mean, how nice is that? And if you hadn't already guessed, it smells like...roses!

The Unicorn Horn* ($7.95 CDN) was released in 2015 and I remember that because I put the horn on Hugo's head when we had just brought him home from his foster home! This is a bubble bar and it's a fun one because it has these pastels and silver shimmer that make your bubbles kind of sparkle. It also looks like it would smell super sweet, but it is actually a blend of lavender and ylang ylang which I find pretty relaxing.

The Whole Lotta Love Bubbleroon* ($8.95 CDN) is another one of my favourites for this year as not only does it bubble, but your bathwater is red with GOLD glitter! Glitter is terrible for my tub, but there is something about sitting in it that makes me feel like I am being truly pampered! This scent is a blend of murumuru butter, lemongrass, bergamot, jasmine, rose and ylang ylang. It's reeeeal nice!

Onto the body stuff! I am a huge fan of Lush's Scrubee and now I have Cherryish* ($12.95 CDN)! Exfoliate with sea salt and ground cherry stones while moisturizing with cocoa butter, murumuru butter, shea butter and vegan white chocolate! I get so lazy in the shower sometimes that these scrub/moisturizer bars have become such a favourite of mine!

Lush Valentine's Day Collection

I love that Lush is continuing with their Naked Shower Gels with this limited edition scent Tender is the Night* ($24.95 CDN) which is a blend of jasmine, ylang ylang and vanilla. I am still working on my shower gels from last December and I swear the bottle has not decreased in size so a little of this stuff goes a long way!

Lush Valentine's Day Collection

The Tunnel of Love Soap* ($8.95 CDN) should have a white heart on it, but I think mine is missing "an ear"! I did not think I would like the scent of rosewater and orange and lime oil, but oh my does this smell good!

So, massage bars always have this sort of sexual connotation to them, but they can be used as solid moisturizers too! The Melt My Heart Massage Bar* ($7.95 CDN) is a floral blend of dried rose petals, orange flower, violet leaf, cocoa butter and shea butter. While this bar was fine on me, I offered my husband a massage with this bar forgetting that he has an allergy to flowers. Sometimes he's ok and other times not so much and this time it was not so much. He had an allergic reaction on his skin within minutes and I felt terrible for not realizing it beforehand so if you or your partner have a sensitivity to flowers I would grab another one of Lush's massage bars!

Lush Valentine's Day Collection

The Kiss Lip Balm and Scrub* (both $9.95CDN) are Valentine's Day classics for Lush, but oddly enough I don't love them. While the scent of the scrub is sweet and perfectly yummy, the lip balm is really not a scent I enjoy. The pink tint doesn't do a whole lot for me so this is probably the only thing in this collection I would pass firmly on.

For Christmas, Lush brought out paper soap which made sort of a cute little card stuffer and they have done it again with Kiss Me Quick* ($3.50 CDN) made of apple pulp and scented with spicy clove bud oil. Break off a piece for hand soap or use the whole thing on your entire body in the shower! Finally, I picked up a new flavour of Toothy Tabs in Oral Pleasure, a blend of vanilla and rose oil, which was surprisingly good! I like to use these on occasion in place of my regular toothpaste for fun because who doesn't want to manually crunch up their toothpaste?

If all you did was look at the pictures in this post, I totally understand. I would too and if this wasn't a PG blog, I would probably take you guys in the tub with me as I used each of these, but I'm not THAT kind of blogger (Can you imagine what a great blog that would be? Lush & Lingerie!) This collection is limited edition so definitely head to your local Lush store if you can to experience these products!
