SKINCARE | Nannette de Gaspe Restorative Techstile Masque for the Eyes #CanadianBeautyMonth

I know these are such a luxurious purchase, but I seriously get such a kick out of these Nannette de Gaspe dry sheet masks! There aren't a large number of reviews on these masks other than magazine reviews, which let's face it, will never really list the cons of a product so slowly but surely, you will have reviews of each mask that come for every part of the body (I'm all about the ass, so the TUSH one should be coming soon!). So far we have done the face (review), mouth (review) and now we have les yeux or the EYES!

Just like Nannette's other two masks, this waterless mask for the eyes is reusable up to 3x (I have been able to use this up to 5x!) and contains the same ingredients imprinted onto the non-patterned side of the mask. For more info on this technology please see my review of the Charlotte Tilbury Dry Sheet Mask as I go into great detail about how this awesome Canadian technology works!

The way to apply a dry sheet mask is that once on, you need to warm the shea butter containing all of the oils and plant extracts, by rubbing the fabric firmly onto your skin. This liquifies the shea butter effectively doing what a wet sheet mask would do. The best part is that I can blow dry my hair with this on as sheet masking is something I tend to avoid on days I wash my hair. It just seems like too many things to do at night!

While this mask was relatively pleasant, I found the fit to be not the best because of my lack of nose bridge and bigger ears. While the mask sat well on my forehead, my nose and immediate undereye area lacked contact and I had to make an extra effort to rub the mask on my skin so that the skincare goodness would reach my skin. The ear holes were also a little tight which can be remedied by snipping the holes a bit larger.

Final verdict: As this mask retails for around $90 (I can't quite remember what I paid and I cannot find the Canadian price anywhere), the fact that I could use it 5x makes the price much easier to swallow. This eye mask isn't about relieving puffiness or dark circles per se, it's more about a blast of moisture and nourishment to the skin. You will not need any moisturizer afterwards because it is mainly plant-oil based which if you have used a facial oil before, takes a bit longer to sink into the skin. My skin did feel and look better upon removal of the mask, but I would still pay the $145 and get the full face mask so that I can let the rest of my face enjoy what my eyes have!
