NAILS | BCD NAIL ART CHALLENGE WEEK 14 "Sweet Tooth" aka "Donut Love"

I am about a month out with the BCD Nails Challenge, but all three of us are still at it and I know we will finish it by year's end, I know it! I love having weekly inspiration as I get incredibly overwhelmed with what to try and or do because let's face it, THERE IS SO MUCH AWESOME NAIL ART IN THE UNIVERSE! One awesome manicure I have always wanted to try was donut nails (doughnut?)! This week's theme was "Sweet Tooth" and while there were a number of things I wanted to try, donutticures kept calling to me!

I started off with three coats of Essence Wild White Waves* as my base colour and then hand-painted the donut circles with MAC Skin* from the Vibe Tribe Collection. The circles don't have to be too neat as donuts are not perfectly round.  

Once the donut shade was somewhat dry, I painted on the pink icing with CND Vinylux Be Demure* making sure to leave a bit of space at the edge of the donut. For the sprinkles, I used a fine brush to paint on bright shades of acrylic paint. 

Follow with your favourite top coat to stop yourself from eating your creation and you are done!
