NAILS | Fall French #CBBxManiMonday

Some press samples

I did it! I have painted my nails after almost one month of having naked nails! They are still very short compared to what I normally have and my ring finger is still having a hard time hence the slightly different shape, BUT I painted them and that in itself was a huge accomplishment seeing as how I am still sick with a cold.

Today's polish is from Dior's Fall "Plan de Paris" Collection (yes, it's still technically Fall!) and it is a gorgeous warm brick coloured red called "Saint Honore" with a hint of golden shimmer. This baby was actually opaque in one coat, but as always I have to do two for consistency! I thought I would dress it up a bit and give the illusion of longer nails by hand-drawing a gold French tip using Cutex "Pop the Prosecco"*, but I had shaky hands and the consistency of the polish was far more liquidy than I had anticipated so the amount of polish that was coming off the brush was waaaay more than what I was expecting! We shall see how long I can tolerate this manicure before I get rid of it!

It is December next Monday so I really would like to do some actual holiday-themed manicures to get into the spirit of things. Does it feel like Christmas already? I'm not sure...we've had such mild weather that it still feels like November just got started! I still haven't seen any negative temperatures yet or had to scrape ice off my car so maybe that's why it doesn't feel like Christmas! Then again, I am not complaining about the milder weather or having to get in my car a little earlier than usual!

Happy Monday and be sure to check out Renee and Trysh's blogs for their last week of Fall manicures this week!
