A new year is all about trying new things and doing things that scare you and stamping is exactly one of those things for me. It still freaks me out to do and the thought of ruining a manicure with a horrific stamping job drives me insane so I rarely do it, but Julep-Olivia was looking a little plain for me so I decided to use my never-before-tried gold Konad stamping polish and m73 stamping plate from Born Pretty to try and create something more interesting.
So, I ended up double stamping each nail because I messed one up and then just decided to go with it since I didn’t feel like painting my nails again. I topped off my disaster with Sephora – It’s Real 18K Gold Top Coat and things looked more “artistic”.
Have a great Friday everyone! Today is unfortunately a Monday for me, but have a great weekend everyone!
that fail turned into a win for sure..
ReplyDeleteThink so? I tried to fix it and just vowed to try again!
DeleteWow those are stunning and just plain awesome. Makes me feel like my nails are so plain lol!

Aww, thank you!!! These nails are a little crazy, so I'm sure your nails are lovely!
DeleteI actually really like this!!!
ReplyDeleteHehe, thank you! I surprisingly liked it too. I love salvagable fails :)
Deletehehe i think it worked out in the end! looks artsy :)
ReplyDeleteThank you! I'm just glad that it all worked it out and that I didn't have to do it all over again!
DeleteThey look really neat!
ReplyDeleteThank you Julie! From far away they looked pretty neat, up close was a bit blurred, but overall it turned out!
DeleteI think they turned out great! I never remember to get my stamping kit out, but it's a great way to revive a polish job before it's time to remove it.
ReplyDeleteI always forget as well, but I wanted a quick way to spruce up my mani and stamping is sure fire way to do just that!
DeleteBeautiful manicure. Your blog is lovely :)

Thank you and thank you again! I really appreciate the comment and the visit!
DeleteI think this looks great Jayne! Before I even read your post I was looking at the picture thinking... that looks very 'artsy' unique! Love it ;)
ReplyDeleteLOL, yes! Mission accomplished!
DeleteI looks like glitter snake skin. Not to shabby for a fail LOL better than I could do!
ReplyDeleteYes, that's what I was thinking! That it looked like some sort of reptilian print! I'm so glad I could salvage my stamping fail because I would have been so annoyed...
DeleteI think I like the Sephora 18 gold topcoat best - I love that it's fine pieces and not too chunky.
ReplyDeleteYes, I like it a lot more than the chunky style since I can use it in a manicure like this one and not have it look too distracting.
DeleteI think it ended up looking really cool! I tried the "konad" stamping once too and utterly failed so I'm hesitant to try again...it's a good thing I have like 25 plates. *eyeroll*
ReplyDeleteLOL, I have a crazy amount of plates too! AND I just ordered more too! What sort of torture am I putting myself through?!
DeleteGreat stamping, Jayne! This looks awesome!
ReplyDeleteThank you! I'm so glad it all worked out!
DeleteIt turned out artsy and unique...it kinda looks like a sparkly galactic marble if that makes sense!
ReplyDeleteLOL, I totally know what you mean! I'm just glad it turned into something wearable!
Deletehaha! you know I cannot get stamping down either, but hey it brings out my artistic side too!
ReplyDeleteI wish I was better at it, but you're right it does make you more creative!
