I honestly had no plans to do any holiday blog posts just because of my crazy retail schedule, but for Sephora I will make an exception as this year's "Wishing You" gift sets were just too cute to not share! As always, Sephora has come out with a plethora of affordable holiday sets of showcasing their house brand which is actually one of my favourite brands to date. Their sheet masks and matte lipsticks are among my favourite in my collection to use which is saying a lot!
While I won't discuss everything I received, there were a few things that caught my eye about this year's collection including a couple of products that came with a QR code that let you record a message to the recipient! I tried it out and it is a video recording with a festive Sephora Christmas background. Very cute and a nice way to build in a personalized virtual card without having to buy a physical one!
Wishing You Mask Wishes*
I am a big fan of Sephora's sheet masks and have done countless reviews on everything they have ever released with the newest review being the Vitamin Sheet Masks. This gift set contains two face masks, two eye masks, one nose strip, one foot mask, one hand mask and one overnight hair mask all in a very cute pouch which is going to be my new sheet mask travel pouch for when I go to Paris next April! This a great way to get to know the Sephora mask collection, but the face masks are by far my favourite!
Lip Care Set Strawberry + Cherry*
I also enjoy Sephora's lip balm collection and in this little set, there is a tinted cherry-scented lip balm and a strawberry-scented lip sleeping mask which is a new product to me! I just tested it out a few hours ago and it is one of those thick, glossy textures which might not be for everyone, but I like it as a day time gloss. I prefer my lip sleeping masks to be more balmy in texture as I feel like more stuff gets stuck on them when they are super glossy.
Wishing You Blockbuster Multi-Use Makeup Palette*
In my unboxing of this package, I had mentioned that this type of "mega palette" while great for someone younger or someone who is just getting started on their makeup journey, is not the type of thing I would get for myself. I find these palettes so overwhelming as this has 88 shades comprising of eyeshadows (60 shades), lip glosses (16 shades), bronzers (2 shades), blushes (2 shades), highlighters (2 shades), brow powders (3 shades) and cream eyeshadows (3 shades). While I know the quality will be great, I will be gifting this to someone else to enjoy!
What really caught my attention with this palette was the packaging as there are no magnets, the cardboard is made from sustainably managed forests and is printed with vegetable ink. The actual palette is still plastic, but at least an effort was made for the outside.
Wishing You Mini Mania*
These are really good travel sizes of the Sephora skincare collection with many of the products probably lasting weeks! This has an entire skincare routine in it and though I have only tried the micellar water, the Ultra Glow Toner and Ultra Glow Serum are calling my name! It also all comes in a bright blue bag made with 30% recycled plastic!
Wishing You 6 Colour Hit Nail Polish Set*
I miss Sephora's nail polishes so much, but at least I get to use them through their holiday sets! I think these shades are the same as last year's though so it would be nice to have some different shades every year, but if you haven't tried Sephora's formula, it has always been so solid. These shades are pretty classic so as a gift, they cover classic to adventurous AND that gold glitter is perfect for a NYE manicure!
You can find the Sephora Wishing You Collection at www.sephora.com and in all Sephora locations.
