BATH & BODY | Valentine's Date Night Out with Avon's Little Red Dress and So Very Sofia Collections

It's that time of year where being single on Valentine's Day seems to be the worst thing in the world, but honestly, it's just a day of LOVE. Whether it's about showing others or yourself some love, that is the overall message I take from Valentine's Day so whether you are single or in a couple, it's all good! Even though I have been with my husband for just over 11 years now, I still enjoy looking and smelling extra feminine and girly on this day though my husband says I look pretty no matter the day (GOOD ANSWER). This year I am enlisting some help from Avon to get me into the Valentine's Day spirit!

When it comes to bath, body and fragrance, Avon has a vast assortment of scents for any occasion and season. The Little Red Dress collection* is aptly named for any date night with notes of red raspberry, Bulgarian rose and rich red sandalwood and comes in a shower gel, body lotion and EDP. Oddly enough, I preferred this scent more in the body lotion format. Maybe it was the steam of the shower that made the scent extra strong?

The Little Red Dress EDP ($26.00 CDN)* is a very sweet scent thanks to the raspberry, but the muskiness of the sandalwood really comes out. This scent starts out quite strong, but fades into soft sweetness. I generally prefer a fragrance that is more on the floral side, but if you like something sweeter, you will enjoy this!

A pink or red nail polish is a MUST and honestly is the most fun for me! I freakin' love polish and though I hate to admit it, bright pink manicures make me SO HAPPY. I pretty much wear them all year round, but it is just so much better when it's for Valentine's Day! The Avon Gel Finish polishes are my favourite (base and top coat in one) and the Nailwear Pro+ series a close second. 

If you prefer a more sultry scent, the So Very Sofia* collaboration with the va va voom Sofia Vergara is another great date night option. With a playful blend of tropical passion fruit, exotic Flor de Mayo orchid and bright golden patchouli, I feel like I am on vacation when I smell anything from this collection! It has a *zing* to it that I was not expecting, but then again Sofia Vergara is kind of like that too!
