NAILS | What Does a Bunny Like to Eat? #ManiMonday

When I was thinking about what to do for today's Mani Monday, it suddenly dawned on me that Easter weekend was THIS weekend. Like, where the heck did time go?! Last year, I got a little busy and only had time for one manicure so maybe this year I will DOUBLE that number to TWO in time for Easter weekend! Maybe three if I'm crazy?

Today's nail shades are from the Spring/Summer OPI Fiji Collection which contains both pastels and brights. As much as I like pastels for nail art, I tend to favor bolder and brighter colours for my skin tone. Then again, when it comes to nail art, a girl really needs every single colour out there because you never know what shade you might need!

Easter Bunny Nail Art

Inspired by nail artist Yoko Nail Art, I decided to give this adorable bunny design a try starting with painting my pinky purple using 3 coats of OPI Polly Want a Lacquer?* and my index nail 2 coats of OPI - Getting Nadi on my Honeymoon*, a creamy baby pink. For the bunny nails, I painted one nail a solid coat of white using OPI - Non-Stop White*, followed by hand-painting a bunny using Getting Nadi on my Honeymoon. I drew the ears with a fine brush dipped in polish.

For the ring finger, I painted a base colour of OPI - Suzi Without a Paddle* followed by a hand-painted bunny of Non-Stop White and Getting Nadi on my Honeymoon. Fine details like the eyes and mouths were done with black acrylic paint.

Finally, bunnies get hungry so on a white base, I drew a carrot on my thumb nail using OPI - No Tan Lines* and CND Vinylux - Palm Deco* for the leaves. I finished off the solid nails with some white polka dots and then top coated my design.
