Review-Villainess Dulces En Fuego White Sugar and Spiced Chocolate Warming Body Scrub

If chocolate was just as good of an exfoliating agent as it is a treat, then the Villainess Dulces En Fuego Body Scrub comes pretty damn close! I received a sample of the Dulces En Fuego Whipped Body Creme back in my September 2012 Glymm Bag and loved every last drop! I ended up buying the full sized version from the Glymm store which was on sale with the complementary body scrub. I decided to try the body scrub first as I has just run out of my current one.

Price: $15.75 CDN or get the duo for $22 CDN from the Glymm store

Scent: Like chocolate, nutmeg and cinnamon. Those little black bits are bits of black pepper! The perfect smell for cold winter days.

Packaging: Plastic jar with metal screw on cap. I have a love-hate relationship with jars because with long nails, I often will get product stuck underneath them, but they also allow you to use every last bit of product.

Formula: This is a warming body scrub so when you first rub this product onto your skin, there are a few seconds of instant heat felt on the skin, but it doesn’t last more than a few seconds. The consistency of the scrub is perfect for daily use and even though it is on the grittier side, my skin loved it. This isn’t as rough as the Cake Body Scrub and is how a body scrub should be. Not too gentle, but not so rough that my skin is red after use. The only thing that I didn’t like about this scrub was that it’s so firm that I often have to dig out what I need! Usually body scrubs are easily scoopable, but this I can flip upside down and it won’t budge! Other than that, the delectable scent of dessert combined with what was personally the perfect exfoliating consistency makes this a definite repurchase in my books!
