SHEET MASK | Avon #NakedProof Dare to Bare and Stand Firm Body Masks

Though I missed out on my breast mask for last month's #AnywhereButTheFace Challenge, I did manage to double mask with some brand new Avon body masks! In addition to some new face sheet masks (coming soon to the blog!), the Dare to Bare Decollete Rejuvenating Sheet Mask* and Stand Firm Body Firming Sheet Mask* are targeted treatments for those parts of the body that often get neglected when it comes to skincare. While I am not a regular body masker, I do find them fun to use once in awhile as an intensive hydration treatment. These new body masks are free of mineral oil, D5 silicone (cycloPENTAsiloxane which found in a TON of skincare which I try to avoid), parabens, synthetic colorants and phthalates and contain ingredients that rejuvenate and firm the skin so let's dive in!

First up was the decollete mask and this is definitely an area I don't tend to focus on which I am sure I will regret in 10-20 years because I really didn't think chests could get wrinkly until I started actually seeing it. I thought that being small-busted exempted me from all sorts of chest woes, but when it comes to aging skin, not so much!

Decolette masks come in all shapes and sizes and this one was actually smaller in size than I thought it would be, but there was SO MUCH essence in the pack which was retained quite well by the mask that I had more than enough essence to apply up to my neck, arms and chest with some left over! The mask material was also thin enough that it sat on my skin smoothly and did not budge the entire time.

The body mask is intended to tighten and firm the not-so-perky areas of the body like the triceps, thighs and calves and contains royal jelly and coffee seed extract for tightening while still hydrating the skin with aloe leaf juice. I did not know what this mask would look like, but it was in fact just a BIG rectangular piece of sheet mask! It was large enough to drape across my stomach, but I wanted to focus on my arms and thighs so I ended up cutting it in half for a better fit.

Unlike the decollete mask, the body mask was a bit hard to move around in as the surfaces that I chose to "firm and tighten" were not flat so even though the mask was soaking in essence and lasted almost 40 minutes on me (I did 20 minutes on my arms and then another 20 minutes on my thighs with the two pieces I cut) I did have to readjust them from time to time.

Yes, body masking is definitely a treat and rather amusing, but is not something I would do regularly. I much prefer a good body lotion or intense spa treatment mainly because I am far more comfortable with wearing a sheet mask on my face compared to other parts of my body. The essence for both the decollete and body were quite hydrating so wrinkles would definitely be banished though I am not still not quite at the age where I would be getting them in my chest area.
