July Ipsy Glam Bag "Passport to Glow"

Purchased by me

July is over and we are now halfway through the summer which is CRAZY! My July Ipsy Glam Bag actually arrived pretty quickly and even arrived a full week before the other girl in my building received hers LOL! This month's bag was not bad with some new products that I have been experimenting with and enjoying. Let's get into it!

First Aid Beauty | Bronze + Glow Drops with Niacinamide
July Ipsy Glam Bag "Passport to Glow"

I just realized that last month I received a FAB beauty product as well and I am not complaining! These are bronzing glow drops that you apply very sparingly as a last step in your skincare routine or mixed with moisturizer to give that perfect sunkissed glow! It also has niacinamide way up at the top of the ingredients list so this is a true makeup/skincare product!

I have been using these and even at 8mL, this will last me a few weeks because a little goes a long way! The swatch below looks terrifying, but the texture is almost watery so it blends very easily and quickly. The glow you get is just ever so bronzy and I am here for it! I would potentially get the full size for sure! I received a deluxe mini size valued at $7.56 USD.

Catano Beauty | Hydrating Lip Glaze in Blush

I didn't think anything of this lipgloss and then I tried it and it is so plushy and shiny! It has a sweet vanilla scent and gives a ton of shine, a hint of pink on the lips without being the least bit sticky. The shade of pink is so slight that this is the perfect lipstick + lipgloss combo because it doesn't change your base colour too much. I received a deluxe mini size valued at $10 USD.

Real Chemistry | Fresh Start Foaming Cleanser
July Ipsy Glam Bag "Passport to Glow"

I had never heard of this brand, but I do have a soft spot for cleansers so when I saw this was a foaming cleanser, I was curious to see if it would leave my skin "squeaky" which I hate. This fragrance-free cleanser did a decent job of removing all my makeup, including waterproof eye makeup, as the second step of my double cleanse. It's also pretty thick so you really just need a tiny amount that you can mix with water to really make this cleanser last. It was pretty basic as a cleanser though and I don't think I would go out of my way to pick this up even if it were readily available in Canada. I received a deluxe sized mini valued at $3 USD.

Neen Duo Eyeshadow Brush

I really dislike double-sided makeup brushes because that means I can't stand them up for storage for fear of damaging one side. The smaller side of the brush is for more precision work like blending out eyeliner and the larger brush is for adding an all-over wash of colour to the lids and blending. I received the full size product valued at $26 USD.

Lithe Beauty | Night & Day Eyeshadow Palette

I chose this product for its neutral palette and I liked that it had both mattes and shimmers. The swatches are pretty nice and I love the size of the palette itself as it fits in the palm of my hand! While the shadows aren't the softest, the colour payoff is quite nice and I find this to be the perfect palette for my life now! I received the full size product valued at $32 USD.

Final verdict: Factoring in the current crazy exchange rate, July's Ipsy Glam Bag was valued at $109.11 CDN which is more than the $28 CDN (including shipping) I paid although this is one of those cases where I think the full size makeup brush for $26 USD wasn't really worth the price tag. Even though I liked the eyeshadow palette, I feel like $32 USD is an inflated price for it. A nice bag, but I think it was worth half the price in CDN.
