Purchased by me
So, this is the March Ipsy Bag. I know we are practically in September, but I feel like now that I do Ipsy every other month I don't have as much to catch up on! I also feel like I took a bit of a summer break the last month just enjoying being lazy AF and doing other hobbies that bring me joy. Soon, the rain and cold will come and all I will want to do is stay inside so much of the blogging has gone to the wayside this month. It has been fairly warm for Vancouver these last two weeks and it is expected to be very warm next week which I am not looking forward to. Heat and getting older definitely don't agree with me! Let's move on to the beauty stuff, shall we?
E.L.F. COSMETICS | Brow Laminating Gel

I know that brow laminating is all the rage now, but as I do not have very much in the way of eyebrows, there really isn't much to laminate.
That didn't stop me from trying this product though and I will say that the clear gel did work to keep things in place and once I styled the hairs with the comb, my eyebrows looked "slick" even without an eyebrow pencil.
I wish I had the eyebrow hairs to comb them upward and make them look fluffy because I think this product would be really great for that! I received a FULL SIZE of this product which retails for $8 USD.
BALANCE ME | BHA Exfoliating Concentrate

Using a BHA product is something I am not the best at, but I do try to use one every two weeks or when my skin is feeling congested. As I am now in my 40s, the amount of exfoliation I need to do is far less than when I was in my 20s and 30s so I am using both BHAs and AHAs far less than before, but this one was gentle, no stinging, but no different than what I have used in the past. I received a deluxe sample of this product which retails for $5.83 USD.
WHAT'S UP BEAUTY | Mini Posytivity Lightweight Hydrating Face Primer

This was quite a nice primer! It starts off feeling like a moisturizer and then as you rub, it gets gradually more tacky, but not to the point of Milk Hydrogrip Primer! It is fragrance-free and after a few seconds, your skin feels soft and smooth and ready for foundation. It's a unique formula and I really enjoyed using it! I received a deluxe size of this product which retails for $14 USD.
MUDMASKY | Melting Mud Cleansing Mask

I usually stay far away from mud masks as I find them so drying, but this one was not like that at all! It's almost like a cleanser so what I do is apply it in the shower and leave it while I am shampooing/conditioning which ends up being at least 5 minutes and then rinse off! It's a creamy mask that does not dry out the skin and has been refreshing to use this summer! I received a deluxe size of this product which retails for $9 USD.
ATHR BEAUTY | Crystal-Infused Lip gloss in Celestial Quartz

I remember being very enamoured with ATHR Beauty back in the heyday of "clean beauty" so I did get a bit excited when I saw that I would get the chance to try their lip gloss with their recycled plastic packaging. So, I tried it and it was fine. Nowadays, with all of these fantastic lip gloss formulas, it's hard to be impressed with something that has a subtle pink tint, isn't too sticky and has a formula that leans on the thinner, buildable side. I received a deluxe size of this product which retails for $15 USD.
The total value of the March Ipsy Glam Bag was $51.83 USD which now translates to about $71 CDN which is definitely more than what I paid for the bag which was just under $30 CDN. I think the only product I wouldn't really be able to find a use for is the brow laminating gel, but everything else has its place in my routine. The only product I would consider purchasing at the full size is the Whatsup Beauty primer because I did really like the texture on my skin!
Have a great long weekend everyone!
