SHEET MASK | Sephora Collection Caramel Macchiato Hydrating Face Mask

I know this month is just going to FLY and already I can feel myself just trying to get through the days until I can have some time off, but I'm really trying to stay present. It seems to get more and more difficult every year. Is it age? Less patience? I really don't know. I have been neglecting my sheet masks a little bit the last two weeks so this week I am trying to get back on the band wagon with this holiday release from Sephora - the Caramel Macchiato Hydrating Face Mask!

 

What makes this mask special? A few things really. Firstly, it's a foil mask. On the front, it says "Hot Effect" which is fairly typical of foil masks as they tend to make you sweat underneath like a sauna, but this one did not feel that way at all on me! You will find out later what it did! Secondly, it smells like caramel or Warm Vanilla Sugar from Bath and Bodyworks!

This mask started to make my skin feel "burny" after a short time. My eyes were watering as if I got serum in my eyes and the rest of my face just felt like it was "peppery" which I guess is what the front of the package warned me about, but I did not enjoy it at all. I barely made it to 15 minutes and had to rip it off!

Scent: Artificial caramel

Essence Type: Slightly viscous

Thickness: Standard for a foil mask

Mask Fit: Pretty good for a foil mask. No lifting and the mask laid relatively flat on my face.

Tackiness: Absolutely none

Hydration: DEFINITELY needed some moisturizer!

Other notes: With regards to the "awakens" part, you definitely will feel relief after removing this mask because the burning sensation will immediately stop! 

Final verdict: I bought two of this sheet mask thinking I would love it as most Sephora Collection sheet masks are pretty good, but I will have to give the second mask away because it was so uncomfortable for me! I'm sad about this because I really wanted to like this because I liked the, super cute packaging, scent and the gold foil which I DID enjoy!
