Happy December 1st! This is the first holiday season in YEARS that might be the best one yet! Last year, on December 12th, a horrific employee finally disappeared from our lives after two continuous years of making life hell and now the whole time is fairly nice. There are always going to be people that are "meh", but I'd rather have that than someone who is screaming at us or sending malicious emails multiple times a day. I know, I know - the bar is REAL low! It has been deliciously busy with clients, people in the holiday spirit and generally a sense of busyness these last few weeks which I cannot complain about!

I have had the last two days off and after a really busy Saturday, I tried my best to be kind to myself on Sunday and rest. I don't think I moved or left the house actually as I am now paranoid that I am going to get sick from pushing myself so hard the last 3 weeks to help clients on both my days in and outside of work! I always prioritize clients and for the last month I've actually been one of the top sellers in my store which for a manager is not very common so trying to balance both responsibilities has been extremely challenging!
I have been feeling incredibly nostalgic these last few months and have been going back to Youtube videos of the mid-2010s when beauty blogging and beauty "gurus" were so new and all the rage including cutepolish. I remember how big of a deal it was when she finally showed her face! I think I'll be using her channel for most if not all of my holiday manicures this month as they were always simple and straightforward to do. I no longer have the eye strength to do the intricate designs I used to do (sigh, getting old) so get ready for quick and easy nail art like today's holly berry design! The hardest part was probably drawing the leaves, but they ended up looking kind of "organic" which was ok!
