SHEET MASK | Monchhichi Hydrating and Soothing Face Masks

Monchhichi Hydrating and Soothing Face Masks

Purchased by me

I had an extra day off last week, so I am feeling a little bit more rested today and hopefully ready to face the next two weeks which are going to be packed with schmoozing and socializing! I am trying to keep taking care of myself which means - regular sheet masking! I was strolling around Miniso over the summer and saw these Monchhichi printed sheet masks that had such fun packaging I couldn't resist!

Moisturizing Face Mask

Monchhichi Hydrating and Soothing Face Masks

What makes this mask special?
The obvious is that these are both printed masks which was the main reason I picked them up in addition to the very fun packaging!

This mask's featured ingredients are aloe vera leaf and cucumber extract though the latter is way at the bottom. Aloe vera and niacinamide are actually quite close to the top of the ingredient list so if I were only looking at the ingredients I would think this was a brightening and soothing mask.

The slits on the side of the nose could have been a bit higher for me and overall, I found the mask quite large on my face. The print of the character was very clear though!

Mask Summary:

Price: $5.99 CDN

What it does: Hydrate and brighten

Scent: Like cotton

Essence Type: A little cloudy and very lightly viscous

Duration: 25 minutes

Thickness: Thin-medium

Mask Fit: Had to cut slits around eyes and nose to make the mask lay down. Also a little bit wide on the sides of face so it was going into my hair

Tackiness: None

Hydration: You might need some moisturizer afterwards, but I was ok without any.

Other notes: N/A

Soothing Face Mask

What makes this mask special? I was hoping that the print on these two masks was going to be different since the Hydrating Mask packaging had the hair "pom poms" and this one did not, but sadly both mask patterns were identical.

This mask's featured ingredients are cica and witch hazel extract though both ingredients are very close to the bottom of the ingredients list. Niacinamide, aloe vera and allantoin are all in the top half of the ingredient list so even though I kind of like the ingredients, I am not sure the "featured" ingredients are the right ones to feature!

Final verdict: I enjoyed the fact that both masks did not leave a tacky finish, but for the price and fairly common ingredients you can find in cheaper masks, I would not repurchase. Trying these once to see what the print looked like on the face was good enough for me and I think these would also make a great gift for someone because of how enticing the packaging looks. These masks are definitely the kind of product that are fun to try once, no regrets whatsoever, but I don't need to have these in my life permanently unless they become $1.99!
