SHEET MASK | Dior Prestige Le Masque Micro-Nutritif de Rose

I use so many sheet masks now that many of them are starting to blend together or quite frankly, are just iterations of the ones I was using 20 years ago with fancy new packaging and such, but the sheet masks that DO seem to interest a lot of you, are the ones that cost a boatload of $$$$ 😝!

I am willing to take that bullet for all of us so let's get this review going for the "new to North America" Dior Prestige Le Masque Micro-Nutritif de Rose Sheet Mask!

Dior Prestige Rose Mask Review

I say this is new to North America because as usual, this mask has been available in Asia for a few years. I saw it on YouTube along with the Dior Prestige Sunscreen so I actually asked my Dior SA to pick up a set of masks the last time he was on vacation in Asia (which I of course paid him for) and the differences are marginal.

The main difference between the Asian and North American versions comes down to the mask name and how much serum is in each packet (33mL for North America and 28mL for Asia).

What makes this mask special? Other than the hefty price tag of $310 for a box of 6 sheet masks, the essence contains 22 "micronutrients" (vitamins, amino acids, minerals collectively known as Rosapeptide-3) from Dior's iconic Rose de Granville, which is grown exclusively for Dior Prestige products AND is the first cosmetically-bred rose. The concentration in this mask is equivalent to what you would get in the La Micro-Huile de Rose Activated Serum and promises more radiant, denser-looking and plumper skin with regular use after 1 month.

This mask is also composed of 94% natural-origin ingredients which is something that has changed for Dior over the years to keep up with the demand for more plant-based products. I'm not hating it!

This mask has a neck component and ear loops for a tight fit around the chin while I initially always hate because wet ear loops are just uncomfortable, I forget about it pretty quickly once the mask has settled on my face. The mask material is soft and reminds me a lot of the JLo Limitless Glow Sheet Mask (review) actually! The material is a bit thicker than non-ear-looped masks as they do need to be pretty strong to loop over the ears without breaking!

Initially, I had a bit of tingling around my eyes and I was not sure if I would be able to wear this mask for its entirety, but the feeling faded after about 10 minutes which was a relief because to have such an expensive mask go to waste would have been absolutely tragic!

Mask Summary:

Price: $310 CDN/6 in one box

What it does: Hydrates, increases skin density, plumps skin

Scent: Rose

Essence Type: Cream

Duration: 20 minutes

Thickness: Very thick mask, but material has to be to allow you to stretch the material over the ears

Mask Fit: Decent, but I found it a bit short on the forehead

Tackiness: Super light

Hydration: Very nice!

Other notes: Not a lot of leftover essence in package which I guess makes sense because a lot of the essence is now on the neck portion.

Final verdict: The results were really nice so I am slightly torn because I feel like I could have definitely done without the tingling around the eyes as this was such an expensive mask experience. I would say for the average person, no you don't need this mask and there are other Korean brands that have masks with a neck component if this is something that is important to you. I quite enjoy the Prestige line and love the rose scent so I am probably going to restock once I use everything up because it's me, the sheet mask lover. I feel super fancy when I am using the mask so I think when I do restock, it will be more as a monthly treat than a regular use thing.
