It has been TWO weeks since I have posted about any beauty boxes, meanwhile I have a stack of unopened ones sitting on my coffee table thanks to the craziness of last week! It’s almost like Christmas again since I don’t actually remember what is in each box! Total first world problem right? April’s SeasonsBox is about getting excited for Spring and indulging the senses in all things sweet. What I love about April’s box is the focus on the natural and helping out women in need.
Connected in Hope|Shiromeda Spring Scarf
This pastel coloured scarf was hand-loomed by a member of the Former Women Fuel Wood Carriers Association in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Connected in Hope is a non-profit organization that strives to empower women in Ethiopia to rise above poverty through sustainable income development.
Thoughts: I received two scarves, so I wanted to show them both in their lovely Spring colours. I love that each of these scarves has the name of the woman that made it. It makes the scarves that much more special.

Crawford Street Skincare|Lemon Deodorant Cream
This citrus-scented cream deodorant is completely natural and really works! It includes over ten essential oils that are deodorizing, antibacterial and anti-fungal. No aluminum, no parabens and no yellow shirt stains! Just rub a dime-size amount on to your underarms.
Thoughts: I am very excited about using this deodorant cream as I am not a fan of traditional deodorants like Lady’s Speedstick or Secret. It smells very much like essential oils which I find quite nice. It absorbs into the skin very quickly leaving a pleasantly dry surface. This is also made by a Canadian company right in Toronto so yay for that!
Price: $12.00
This foam applicator features a firm, 2 in 1 tip, making it super easy to apply and blend liquid foundation, bronzer or concealer like an expert. This is crafted with a recycled aluminum ferrule and a sleek bamboo handle.
Thoughts: I was SO EXCITED to get this! I haven’t been able to find it at London Drugs yet, so when I saw this in the sneak peek I could not wait! The shape is perfect for applying foundation around my nose and I keep switching between this and my faux Beauty Blender for foundation application.
Price: $5.99
These are made from 100% natural specialty honey from Prince Edward Island! These are a wonderful supplement are ideal for anyone on the go.
Thoughts: I drink tea almost daily so these are perfect! I don’t like using white sugar or alternatives like Splenda so it’s always honey or raw cane sugar for me. These are so adorable that I will be saving them for special occasions!

Total Value of April SeasonsBox: $55.98
I really enjoyed April’s Seasonsbox, especially the scarves knowing that each one empowers women in Ethiopia. There are other scarves to choose from so make sure to browse the Connected in Hope site. The deodorant is amazing and I might have to stock up!
At first I thought those scarves were dish towels DUH are they soft? I like the pink one. :)
ReplyDeleteThat sponge brush looks cool too. How is it to clean?
Super easy, like cleaning any makeup sponge which is good.
DeleteThey do look like dish towels! I would have been ok with those as well! LOL! They're pretty soft. My fiance wants the blue one :)
wow, great items! I wanted to try both the sponge/brush and the honey drops. I've seen them by the checkout at my pharmacy, but have yet to try them. They look so cute!
ReplyDeleteThe honeydrops are perfect and absolutely adorable! They are a little expensive so I've been using them sparingly :)
DeleteI've never used a deodorant in a jar, doesn't it make application a bit messy/tricky? I have several ecotools brushes and they're amazing. I don't use them as much because the real techniques and bdellium tools are too amazing not to use! Enjoy it all Jayne-luv <3 xx
ReplyDeleteThat's the only thing that makes the deodorant inconvenient...that you have to wash your hands after..I'm sure they could make it in stick form. I should ask!
DeleteI like both RT and Ecotools at the moment. I won't say no to either!
Wow that foam applicator looks soo cool!! Haven't seen it around just yet.
ReplyDeleteIt's not in any of the pharmacies I have been to in Vancouver so that's why I was so excited to see this!
DeleteI love that the scarves have that extra special touch. Great box!
ReplyDeleteMe too, it was one of my favourite things.
DeleteGreat products!
ReplyDeleteIt's a great box!
DeleteThe beauty products look awesome... but I think the star is the honey drops... they look so useful and convenient...
ReplyDeleteIsn't it weird that I totally fell in love with those too?!
DeleteAhh! I keep seeing this season's box and I love it! Those scarves are gorgeous! This is the first time I've seen the blue one :)
ReplyDeleteAren't they?? I heard that there is a GREEN one!
DeleteThat foam applicator thingy majig looks so interesting I just want to poke it and squeeze it all around! I got a faux beauty blender from eBay but so far I'm not seeing the hype about it. Maybe I got a dud?
ReplyDeleteLOL, that's the first thing I did! Poke it! I guess the only way you'll know if it's a dud is to try it against the reak Beauty Blender?
DeleteLOL, yes! :D I'd say so but unfortunately I don't have $20 for a sponge, haha.
DeleteThat's true, it is a little ridiculous. I got mine on sale, but it was still something like $17. I can't believe I paid that much for a sponge...
DeleteThose honey drops are made in my town :D I actually just bought some today half-price and can't wait to try them!
ReplyDeleteReally??? I've always wanted to visit PEI!!! It has been like a childhood fantasy!
DeleteI actually got TWO boxes by accident! I gave the other one away but took a picture of the two scarves first!
