I feel like I have been doing the double cleanse since the beginning of time, but it has only been since 2015! Cleansing oils were REALLY big at this time in the North American market and I remember being at Sephora and just being overwhelmed by everyone coming out with their own cleansing oil, but I never got around to trying a BALM until years later. I have my moods when it comes to oils vs. balms and sometimes it's just really satisfying to plunge into the buttery goodness of a balm and then doubly satisfying when you get to work it into your skin and massage all the crap of the day off into a melty emulsion!

While I know that having no fragrance is the safest way to go when it comes to skincare, I reeeeallly enjoy it when there is and the Farm X Super Greens collection has two of my most used cleansers - the Cleansing Balm and the Gel Cleanser which I kid you not, are on their way to being empty because I use them all the time!

Nourishing Cleansing Balm* 

I have been using this duo for a few months now and I love when I find a cleanser duo that "matches". I know it's not necessary, but it seems so perfect when things match. This cleansing balm smells delightfully herbal and even a bit minty(?) as there is sage, rosemary, green tea and lavender, but what makes the Super Greens collection special is that there is broccoli and Brussels sprout extract as well! The balm itself melts and emulsifies like a classic cleansing balm, but is perhaps a touch thicker than some other balms so definitely requires a second cleanse if you want to feel like everything is fully gone. I would also be careful around the eyes as it can take awhile for your eyes to "clear the balm" should you get some in there! As a first cleanse, it leaves my skin feeling soft and hydrated thanks to the presence of avocado, moringa oil and marula oil!  

Refreshing Gel Cleanser*

This cleanser truly has such a refreshing scent and is a cleanser that I use on its own as well because I feel like it just cleans every bit of grime off my skin! It says to be careful of use around the eyes, but I find this cleanser does not irritate my eyes at all. It rinses off easily and does not leave my skin super squeaky like a cleansing foam. 

The next best thing about this cleanser is the fact that it is REFILLABLE! The bottle is GLASS so feels tres luxurious and stays anchored to the counter/edge of bathtub no matter how aggressively you reach over and pump! The refill also contains TWICE what you have in the bottle!

Final verdict: I temporarily moved on from these to review something else, but then I went right back! For me, it was all about the scent and though the formulations were nothing novel for me, there aren't a lot of cleansers that have this kind of refreshing scent so that's what really made it a more unique experience for me! In terms of efficacy, it rivals all of the greats!
