It's Friday and what feels like the end of a very long week! I have a day off today and had a very long day yesterday as I worked and then had to attend a work event until late. I had hoped to continue my blog posting streak, but alas this week was just a bit too much for me. As tired as I am from last night, it feels like this week will be ending on a good note so I can't complain! Just gotta survive one more day of work tomorrow and I can relax again on Sunday!
ONE
A colleague of mine brought me candy LEGO bricks that are actually buildable! I won't lie - I munched on these candy bricks all day! They remind me of PEZ candy (are those still a thing?)!
TWO
I celebrated 18 years working with Birks last week and we celebrated with the team by getting pastries from my favourite pastry place, Beaucoup Bakery! This was the first time I wanted to celebrate a work anniversary with other employees now that the awful employee is gone and it went so well! It was the perfect celebration! We used to have to celebrate on days that particular employee wasn't around because she used to make a scene so it was just so relaxing to be able to have a normal celebration!
THREE
We finally tried this sausage place right by our place called Chop and Chew and I had a bratwurst and vegan sausage both of which were very tasty! The mashed potatoes were a little watery and lacked flavour by my standards, but I am willing to give them another chance just because the sausages were so good and the service was really friendly!
FOUR
My MIL got me some Pixyls and Vexyls for my birthday which arrived in the mail! You all know this has been my newest hobby and I am still loving it! I can't wait to finish these over the summer!
FIVE
My boss and I attended the VGH LiftED event which Birks had donated an entire suite of jewelry for so we were there as representatives, but we got the chance to dress up, wear some jewels and have some good food! I received a number of compliments on this dress and I loved that it looked expensive, but was just from Amazon! The fabric is horrible quality and if I am near an open flame I think I will burn up, but I'm glad it will work for a number of occasions!
I am ready for the weekend even if I have to work tomorrow! There is something more fun about working a Saturday so I am looking forward to it!
