Day 26-Inspired by Your Country or Canadian Stereotype Nails!
I haven’t given up the 31 Day Nail Challenge yet! I am determined to finish with my teammates so without further ado, Day 26 is all about being inspired by your country and so I thought I’d have a little Canadian fun and showcase our very good sense of humour ;-)
We say “Eh?” and apologize all the time so of course that had to make it on to my nails! We also love our Royal Canadian Mounties, hockey and live in igloos! I would actually love to try living in an igloo. It seems quite cozy. The only polishes I really used were OPI-My Boyfriend Scales Walls, Cult Nails-Evil Queen and sponged on China Glaze-For Audrey for my thumb. The rest of this design was done in acrylic paint.
Close up of the igloo which I am quite proud of!

Day 8-Flakie Gorgeousness!
For today’s challenge, we could choose from either duochrome, flakie or holo as our nail polish choice and I was thisclose to doing a holo skittles manicure, but I’ve been neglecting my flakies lately and I wanted to give them a little lovin’. I started off with two coats of mark-Violet Daze which I received in my March 2012 Topbox.
For the flakie magic, I used two coats of one of the prettiest polishes I’ve seen, Cult Nails-Seduction filled with red and purple flakies sitting in a sheer purple base. Gah, it’s just so pretty!

Tic Tac Love
I apologize for the messiness and terrible lighting of this Valentine’s manicure, but from far away the nails look much better! I have been wanting to do these nails for about a year, but just never really got around to it. There are so many nail art ideas to try that I have no idea how I’m ever going to be able to try everything in my lifetime.
To start off, I used three coats of NOPI – It’s All About the Glam and then used a black striper for the lines. The hearts were made using a dotting tool and with Sally Hansen XtremeWear – Bubblegum Pink and Cult Nails – Evil Queen.
Day 19–Galaxy Nails
Apparently my galaxies have a TON of stars! I have never done galaxy nails before so this is yet another nail design that I have gotten to try thanks to this nail challenge! I started off with two coats of my favourite black polish, OPI – Black Onyx and then sponged on my galaxies using China Glaze – Snow, China Glaze – Empowerment and Cult Nails – Time Traveler. Finally, I added a glittery coat of China Glaze – Fairy Dust to add an extra smattering of stars!

I Swear, I Don’t Know How These Got Here…
Last month, Cult Nails was having a sale on quite a few of their polishes making them $7 each. Free shipping happens at $75 so I did “beauty math” in my head and came up with 11 polishes to purchase. Hehe, now that’s my kind of arithmetic!
L-R: Untamed, Scandalous, Captivated, Spontaneous and Seduction
L-R: Deal with It, Let Me Fly, Time Traveler, I Got Distracted, Cruisin’ Nude and Power Thief
I’ve barely made it through my last Cult Nails haul and now with the 31 Day Nail Challenge I will have to be creative and try to find a way to work these guys in!
Happy Canada Day and Happy Birthday to Me!
Happy Canada Day everyone!! These are my birthday nails which of course are red and white to celebrate Canada as well! I started off with 2 coats of Cult Nails Evil Queen which is a fantastic creme red with equally fantastic application! I am ready to admit, I have “joined the cult”!
Next, I did a couple of different things and had some birthday nail fun! I hope everyone is having a great long weekend!
Nail Mail from the Hungry Asian and Cult Nails!
I swear this is my favourite kind of mail! I have been wanting to try out some nail polishes from Kae at The Hungry Asian and Cult Nails for the longest time so with my birthday coming up, I decided to give myself a little treat (as if I don’t do that enough already!).
Here is one Mint Condition, which is one of Kae’s latest creations, U Jelly?, On a Budget and Twenty Ten.
This is the Cult Nails Fairy Tale Collection and my first Cult Nails purchase! I have been drooling over these ever since they were announced and I pre-ordered this set last month. From left to right we have: Evil Queen, Feelin’ Froggy, Princess, Charming and Happy Ending.
This is the Hypnotic Collection which consists of: Enigmatic, Awakening, In a Trance and Hypnotize Me. Drool!
I guess I’m going to have to update my nail polish count again huh?
