Goodbye to Dry Skin with Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula!

I don’t know about you guys, but my skin has been SO THIRSTY this winter that I am constantly looking for the thickest, most hydrating moisturizers I can get my hands on! I’ve even been using exfoliators with shea butter in them in combination with body butters that pretty much resemble lard for that extra boost of hydration! Thank goodness for what I’ve been calling the “Palmer’s Triad” in my house!

Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula Moisturizing Body Oil (250mL/$9.99)

This body oil is very lightweight and formulated with cocoa butter, Vitamin E, soybean and sesame seed oil and allows for quick absorption into the skin so that you don’t have to sit around waiting before you can put clothing on! There is nothing worse than having all of that product in the fabric of your clothes instead of your skin which is definitely something I have experienced with certain body oils in the past! This body oil can also be poured directly into a bath for a truly decadent chocolate-scented treat. This product is paraben-free.

Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula Concentrated Cream (100g/$8.49)

For those extra dry areas like my elbows, knees and heels of my feet, I look to Palmer’s Concentrated Cream to make these areas look less reptilian-like. This moisturizer is quite thick (think solid upon squeezing out) and contains pure, natural cocoa butter and Vitamins A, C and E to soften and smooth very dry skin. This is also recommended for treating stretch marks caused by pregnancy or for smoothing out other marks or scars. Just a note that this product does contain petrolatum, which is a mineral oil jelly used to lock in moisture. I know some of you might not be fans of this ingredient. This product is paraben-free.

Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula (400mL/$6.99)

For all other areas of my body, I use the classic Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula which is similar to the Concentrated Cream only not quite as thick and can also be used for stretch marks and smoothing and blending other marks and scars on the skin. Out of all three products, the classic formula is definitely the one I reach for most often just because it takes care of most of my dry skin needs. My skin just drinks this right up and is still nice and soft the very next day. The fact that I smell like a chocolate treat is also a bonus. This product also contains petrolatum and is paraben-free.

You can find Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula products at Wal-Mart, Loblaws and Shoppers Drug Mart.
