As much as I love playing with colourful eyeshadows, when it comes to my day to day makeup I am a neutrals gal. If I worked in the beauty industry it would be different, but even my balayaged hair pushes certain boundaries in my current work environment as I am the only younger person who styles her hair and wears actual makeup. The other day an older very straight male coworker commented on how good my brows looked. Needless to say, if I wore any other eyeshadow colours than neutrals there would be some chatter which is why my morning routine always involves a neutral eyeshadow stick. I hate mornings so even taking a brush and using powder is too time-consuming sometimes which is why I am always on the lookout for long-lasting waterproof shadow sticks like the Burberry Eye Colour Contour Smoke & Sculpt Pens ($32.00 CDN)! They actually fit the contours of my eye socket perfectly and last all day!

Available in seven shades from brightening neutrals to the smokiest of browns, these shades are a neutral lover's heaven! My day to day look involves smoky browns with a hint of bronze when I'm feeling "adventurous" and I have been loving the shades No.106 in Pale Copper*, No. 108 in Midnight Brown* and No.116 in Dusky Mauve* to quickly create looks that are office appropriate as well as for a night out.

These eye colour contour pens are much slimmer than the chubby shadow sticks I normally use, but having said that I do appreciate having more control over where the colour goes as I can more easily do my inner corners and give my shadow more of an angled look at the outer corners.

The actual formula is incredibly smooth (thank you dimethicone!), like skating on fresh ice, and does in fact last a solid work day even without primer. The formula was also surprisingly blendable and not "sticky" like some waterproof shadows can be. I like sticky for doing a single shadowed-look, but for wanting to create some depth having the ability to work the shades like a powder is a plus.

The packaging is the most luxurious eyeshadow stick/pen I have ever used and the product itself is fairly versatile as they can be used as full shadows, for contouring and of course for smudging to achieve a smoky eye. Knowing me, I would honestly find a use for all seven colours because I am always looking for ways to get my eye makeup done as quickly as possible and have it look like I have my act together!
