MAKEUP | Dior Diorskin Nude Air Glow Powder in 001 Fresh Tan

It has been gloomy all day this weekend in Vancouver and it makes me a little sad that Fall seems to have come almost overnight once the last day of August wrapped up. We had this glorious heat wave while I was on my staycation two weeks ago and I am glad I had the time to enjoy it. I was going through my photos for summer reviews and came across this shot of the Diorskin Nude Air Glow Powder in #001 Fresh Tan* ($68.00 CDN) that I took for fun in direct sunlight. This baby BELONGS in sunlight!

In regular daylight, this powder is still quite pretty with the embossing staying in place even after a couple of uses. I don't know if I would refer to this product as a bronzer or even a blush per se, but with a subtle hint of shimmer it does seem to give your skin a healthy glow. I could go fairly heavy-handed all over my face and it didn't seem to make me look like I had overdone my tan.

The texture was very similar to the illuminating powders from the spring Glowing Gardens collection (here) and swatched fairly easily.

Final verdict: I have heard that this is a re-release of a permanent Dior powder, but I cannot confirm. I know that every season there is a slight variation to these powders whether it'd be a matte or shimmery finish or adjustments to the shade combinations. -They all do look very "pan-pretty" though so I would probably make absolutely sure you don't have a similar Dior powder before picking up another! I find that I tend to use ones with shimmer more so than those that come in only matte finishes so choose wisely!
