It has been gloomy all day this weekend in Vancouver and it makes me a little sad that Fall seems to have come almost overnight once the last day of August wrapped up. We had this glorious heat wave while I was on my staycation two weeks ago and I am glad I had the time to enjoy it. I was going through my photos for summer reviews and came across this shot of the Diorskin Nude Air Glow Powder in #001 Fresh Tan* ($68.00 CDN) that I took for fun in direct sunlight. It is now officially summer and all of those summer collections from Spring can now be enjoyed in their entirety! The Summer Dior Milky Dots collection has been one of my favourite summer releases so far and after reviewing the Milky Tints (here) and two of the Manicure Kits (here), I am happy to finally have some time to put together a makeup look, swatches and review for the 5 Couleurs Eyeshadow Palette in Bain de Mer* ($73.00CDN). There are two eyeshadow palettes in the Milky Dots collection, the second of which I will be showcasing next month. Bain de Mer looks like a mini rainbow and as pretty as it was in the package, how was I going to make this work for my Asian skintone?

When I saw the Dior Polka Dots Colour & Dots Manicure Kits* ($38.00 CDN) in the Summer Milky Dots Collection, I thought, "Hallelujah!" I have always believed that polka dots dress up ANY manicure and it was one of the first nail art techniques I ever attempted. These new manicure kits come in three different nail colour duos containing the classiest-looking mini dotting tool I have ever seen! Today, I will show two of these kits which I have used to create today's spicy-lookin' dotticure!
OMG OMG OMG. That is pretty much what tumbled out of my mouth when I just happened to be home and the Dior Milky Dots Collection arrived at my door! Wrapped in polka dotted paper, I did not know what to expect, but then...this collection is blowing my mind like last year's Tie Dye collection so expect to see as many reviews as I can humanly do because my love for this collection is REAL.
I am starting off with the first product that I have been happily wearing on a daily basis - the new Dior Addict Milky Tints ($43.00 CDN)! Coming in four different nourishing lip colours, these have a similar "wet" formula to the Dior Addict Fluidsticks (reviews), but do not have the same pigmentation as they are a tint. I received the shades Milky Pastel* and Milky Plum* and now want/need/have to pick up the other two shades, Milky Peach and Milky Pop to complete my collection!
