October Luvs

To be honest, I almost forgot about this post! There has been a lot going on in my life in terms of change and I’ve just been a bundle of rattling nerves the last week. Blogging has helped though because with every sentence and/or comment that I end with an exclamation mark, I feel a little bit better! I don’t have much in the way of favourites for October although I should just mention that the MaskerAide masks were a definite favourite!

Jordana- Quick Shine Topcoat

This was a dollar store discovery and I am totally amazed! I started using it during the 31 Day Nail Challenge in order to get me to bed sooner and it seriously works! I mean, it’s not 60 seconds, but it WAS faster than my current favourite topcoat, Out The Door by inm. It also left my nails very shiny.

China Glaze- Fairy Dust

The number of times I used this polish during the 31 Day Nail Challenge is ridiculous! This is one of the nicest glitters if you’re looking for just a little hint of iridescent sparkle to brighten up your manicure. It doesn’t overpower your design and photographs well. This is a must-have in any nail polish lover’s collection. Life wasn’t the same once I started using this baby…

skoah – Dewlux Face Kream

I’ve talked about this brand before, it’s a local skin care company with beginnings right out of Vancouver! Along with a skin care line that actually works for my skin, they offer the most amazing facials which I treat myself to every 7 weeks. I picked up Dewlux last month at my most recent facial because my skin was so dry even with my regular moisturizer so I wanted to get something a little bit thicker and more saturating. A little goes a long way with this moisturizer and the cherry on top? It smells like fresh melon :)

Urban Decay – Naked 2

I don’t think I need to talk about this anymore as the beauty blogosphere is literally saturated with Naked palette posts! We all know why we love it/should love it and I’ve been reaching for it almost every day. I especially love the shade “Snakebite”.

Ellis Faas Lip Color in L109

I received this in my August BB5 Box and initially believed it to be too light for me, but when I pair it off with a more pink-toned lip gloss, the combination gives my lips a beautiful neutral shine.

Naked Princess in Barely Nude

After receiving a teeny tiny sample in my August Glymm Bag and really liked it so I actually went and bought the full size! I think a lot of us liked this product that month for the scent and consistency. It’s not a very sticky gloss and because of that, it doesn’t last very long on the lips so be prepared to reach for it all the time!

And that’s October everyone!

    1. !!!AHHHH!!!

See, how the pink gloss works out for you. The Ellis Faas lip creme is so nice that it seems such a shame to waste just because the colour isn't quite right.

    1. It's a fantastic crease colour although for my more dramatic days I use it as an all-over lid colour ;-)

  9. The Maskeraide mask was quite awesome! Is the Jordana 3-free? One of these days I'm just going to have to pony up and get the Naked or Naked2 - but I've got my eye on the Quo dupe of it!

    1. Yes, my top coat is 3-free (says on the back of the bottle) so I'm guessing their nail polishes are too. The Quo dupe looks identical, but I'm a sucker for packaging so I think even if I'd known about the Quo one, I still would have gotten the UD version.

  10. I feel the same way about exclamation marks! Although if I actually used them at the end of every sentence when I speak out loud I don't think i'd get a very warm reaction :)

I wished the sample was larger too because it was gone the first day I used it!
The changes are good, just a complete change in career is all...a wee bit stressful!
